Guest zappazz Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) If sdd is your SDCARD then your startup should be: Set CMDLINE "rootdelay=2 root=/dev/mmcblk0p7 init=/init" Or else it's My Storage: Set CMDLINE "rootdelay=2 root=/dev/mmcblk1p7 init=/init" . Try it, i may be wrong. THIS IS THE SOLUTION to go haead and see Android Logo: -For SD: root=/dev/mmcblk0pYourPartiotionNumber init=/init -For My storage: root=/dev/mmcblk1pYourPartiotionNumber init=/init rom_omnia2, THANKS! Guest vmosc Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 If you don't have a Linux then you will have wait for the installer. Or you can use some froyo bundle like this one: http://www.modaco.co...nstall-updated/ Just use the new beta froyo package. Have you tested that and its working??????????
Guest pessoa Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 THIS IS THE SOLUTION to go haead and see Android Logo: -For SD: root=/dev/mmcblk0pYourPartiotionNumber init=/init -For My storage: root=/dev/mmcblk1pYourPartiotionNumber init=/init rom_omnia2, THANKS! Guest nikkotsoi Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 Go to init.rc and add this iocharset=utf8 after your MyStorage mount command line, like this: mount vfat /dev/block/mmcblk0p5 /storage iocharset=utf8 i am trying this thank you but a kind remainder , MyStorage mount command line is no longer mmcblk0p5 /storage but mmcblk1p5 /storage :)
Guest nikkotsoi Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 i am installing the second time with my own modified .tar.gz still, first boot was freeze when seeing android logo for some time second boot was perfect :lol::lol::lol:
Guest rom_omnia2 Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 Have you tested that and its working?????????? No, read the instructions there. You will download that froyo bundle package, and inside npkinstall folder you will use the new beta froyo instead that old package that is already there. Or you can just wait for the installer

Guest pessoa Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 OMG, Why the heck doesn't it go further than the "ANDROID" logo? Anyone got the same problem and was able to correct it? Tryied ext3 too, didn't work...

Tryied ext3 too, didn't work... It's a partition problem, maybe we need to rebuild all that partition table. Yes, erase even the fat32 partition. I had to do that once.
Guest pessoa Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 It's a partition problem, maybe we need to rebuild all that partition table. Yes, erase even the fat32 partition. I had to do that once. geez! And, if I do it, I how do i get my WinMo back?

There is wrong for numbers of partition mmcblk0p... is My Storage mmcblk1p.......is SD card Correct format is: Partition on MyStorage: - Primary partition: mmcblk0p1, mmcblk0p2,..........p4 - Logical partition: mmcblk0p5, mmcblk0p6........ Partition on SD card: - Primary partition: mmcblk1p1, mmcblk1p2............p4 - Logical partition : mmcblk1p5, mmcblk1p6....... If you want to correctly recognize FAT32 SD card in FROYO for camera use, YOU MUST TO FORMAT THIS PARTITION OF SDCARD AS PRIMARY.
Guest rom_omnia2 Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 geez! And, if I do it, I how do i get my WinMo back? What do you mean? I'm talking about MY STORAGE PARTITION not MY DEVICE partition. Even if you erase your MyStorage WinMo will work fine, but you LOST all your programs and files that was installed in My Storage. But like i said, i don't want to do that. No time for backup now, will try to install into SD CARD.
Guest rom_omnia2 Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 There is wrong for numbers of partition mmcblk0p... is My Storage mmcblk1p.......is SD card Read the README: Note: mmcblk0 is now SD card, mmcblk1 is My Storage.
Guest pessoa Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 My phone is like this: Dispositivo Boot Início Fim Blocos Id Sistema /dev/sdd1 1 258973 8028159+ 5 Estendida A partição 1 não termina no limite do cilindro. /dev/sdd5 1 207939 6446079 b W95 FAT32 /dev/sdd6 242061 258973 524286+ b W95 FAT32 /dev/sdd7 207968 241868 1050931 83 Linux When you look on gParted, I got this +/dev/sdd1 When I open it, it goes like this: - /dev/sdd1 (extended) /dev/sdd5 (fat32) /dev/sdd7 (ext4) Not allocated (about 5,83MB) /dev/sdd6 (!) (unknown) (512MB) How should it be to be working? But, what is bothering me is that, on Beta1, android was working with the partition table exactly like that...

Guest nikkotsoi Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 My method 1. download the ubuntu iso and burn as cd 2. Boot up the computer with the CD using the Try mode (live CD) 3. Use a card reader to read my micro sd card 4. system> administration > GParted Partition Editor 5.Find my sd card driver on the right top corner 6. Delete all partition of the sd card (there is normally two partition in the sd card if you installed froyo beta 1 before with the installer) 7. Create a new partiton by right click > new> fat 32> enter the size of your sd card - 1000MB >"disk0" 8. create another partition by right click > new>ext4> size 1000mb>label "disk" 9. click the "tick" above and wait for the computer to finish 10. Go to desktop , click "examples" > find ur downloaded froyo beta2 zip 11. extract all the files inside on the desktop 12. click applications>accessories>terminal 13. type in cd Desktop 14. type in "sudo tar zxvf ext4.tar.gz -C /media/disk " 15. wait until process finished 16.check from the explorer to see if there are files copied into "disk" that is ur sd card 17. plugin the sd card back to ur phone 18. copy haret.exe +startup.txt+zimage into my storage 19. edit the startup.txt to mmcblk0p2 20. Start haret!! (for me the first boot is failed, but 2nd boot is success , maybe same to you :D)
