Guest synescu Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 I'm willing to do that, but I did not find out the hidden partition, to flash also have no, how am I supposed to do Widows language change will make a full reinstallation of the operating system it will recreate all the original partitions
Guest erikcas Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Widows language change will make a full reinstallation of the operating system it will recreate all the original partitions Don't do if you are not shure if the hidden partition is there. For this option it needs the hidden partition. You might end up reflashing your phone and if you are not shure how to do it you will have another challenge.

Guest haymant Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) I copied all files from froyo_b3 to my storage, and boot froyo again, the usb is working but then, the time is not synced, even after trying 3g/airplanmode on/off wifi is also not stable now. Before today, I installed b2 to sd card and updated to b3, everything is perfect. After I heard that to install to my storage make froyo faster, met problems Hi, eknohr did you change anything to make the usb work? I manually installed b3 to my storage, and the usb does not work now What I did: 1. parted my storage to a. mmcblk1p1 fat32 4G b. mmcblk1p5 ext4 4G c. mmcblk1p6 swap 128M 2. tar xvzf ext4.tar.gz to mmcblk1p5 3. cp haret.ext and startup.txt to mmcblk1p1 the startup.txt is from the b2 manual install package (root changed to mcblk1p5) Edited October 21, 2011 by haymant

Guest kenzoo Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 init.rc is just in the root of the ext4 partition ps: reboot from recovery don't need return to wm, it just like boot into android again which will free more ram, this is so perfect :D Again can someone confirm on this?
Guest lotuxete Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Hello Antonio, How did you install, wich partitions have you make into my storage? Let is know. Hi, I have the O2 partitions just like the first day, in the same order and #id, even the Cubic (hidden) partition. I did a successful manual installation with swap partition. See attach file for more details. My startup > Set CMDLINE "rootdelay=2 root=/dev/mmcblk1p2 init=/init ..... etc. My swap > /dev/block/mmcblk1p3 swap swap defaults 0 0 It's OBVIOUSLY that each one has a different partition sort, so startup.txt, init.rc and fstab are provably different in each O2. Everyone have to modify his own files according to his own configuration. BEFORE parted under Ubuntu make a backup of your Internal memory files (just copy and paste anywhere), just in case... I've lost my Internal Storage several times and backups helped me, LOL. Good luck.
Guest voyteckst Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 OK, don't test it for now. I know what is messed up (probably).

Guest pessoa Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Hi everyone! I was away and lost the launch of beta3, now, I'm going to install it trying to make an update from my beta2 installation... But, I have a question: Reading the post, some ppl said that to do that update to Internal Memory would be just unzip frb2update to root and copy zImage to My Storage. Is this correct? And, second, I was trying to use a swap partition on beta2 so my Internal Memory already have a swap partition, my question is: Will beta3 use the swap automatic or is there something I need to configure first? Thanks for everything devs! Congrats!
Guest erikcas Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Question for the devs Will latest kernelsource be published on short term? It is not my intention to put pressure on anything, and I am not in a hurry but B7610 community is screaming my ears off. They (and me) want to enjoy the improvements of the latest kernelsoures. Thanx!
Guest marisaleh Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Devs Please help, I have realised that when I purchased my O2, I purchased the 2G model. I know there is also 8G models. My question is, will I still be able to install to My Storage with a 2G model of O2. Will there be enough memory for all these partitions. Thanks
