Guest tillaz Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Can this rom use 2mb cache TPT? So skate v2b tpt is god for this rom? if the rom has init.d support you could try this script for cache convert 02cache.rar extract the above file and add to etc / init.d and add this to updater-script set_perm (0, 0, 0777, "/system/etc/init.d/02cache"); [/CODE]
Guest tilal6991 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 So.... How does bringing back theming sound?
Guest gitly-git Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 (edited) I am using a 2mb cache with link2sd and have installed a loads of apps. As well as a couple of big games like glwg and sentinel 3 with no problems. Edited May 4, 2012 by gitly-git
Guest plegdroid Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 So.... How does bringing back theming sound? if that's an open question?. yay!
Guest plegdroid Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 @Tilal, why can't we have a 2meg cache? :)
Guest tilal6991 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 I think judging on what people are saying the feature to redirect may have been merged without me noticing....
Guest plegdroid Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 (edited) I think judging on what people are saying the feature to redirect may have been merged without me noticing.... yay!!! :D:D option 4 is now very appealing, no more insufficient space errors. Edited May 4, 2012 by plegdroid
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 (edited) So.... How does bringing back theming sound? Has it been merged??? :))) Oh my goddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd Edited May 4, 2012 by razzmataz1478
Guest tilal6991 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Has it been merged??? :))) Oh my goddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd No but I'm bringing it back.
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 No but I'm bringing it back. So you're implementing it into the rom unofficially?
Guest utternoob Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Can someone explain this to me in simpleton terms? What does it do and more importantly, what is it?
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Can someone explain this to me in simpleton terms? What does it do and more importantly, what is it? If you've ever used cm7 you'd have noticed an app called Theme Chooser (com.T-Mobile.themechooser) which basically changes the framework when you download a theme app that it understands. What lalit is doing is merging it into his from before it is been made official
Guest utternoob Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Is that the thing in settings that says theme and when you click it is says temporary placeholder stub?
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Is that the thing in settings that says theme and when you click it is says temporary placeholder stub? Yeah so basically when you click on the themes button it will redirect you to the theme chooser
Guest plegdroid Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 No but I'm bringing it back. Well happy themes and I've got some space back lololol
Guest utternoob Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Will it be implemented in the next iteration?
Guest navanax Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 (edited) I don't need CM themes, cause the Miui launcher is downloadable now. There are a lot of themes in .mtz format is accessible this way :) Edited May 4, 2012 by navanax
Guest trueno2k Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 I think judging on what people are saying the feature to redirect may have been merged without me noticing....If so, that's just simply excellent :D ... And for off topic, wow... My siggy has finally just started working again... Brilliant, let's see how long that lasts :P Sent from my skate using Tapatalk 2
Guest milllhouse Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 IT would be best if tilal would make the camera work properly! his ROM would be the best rom for Skate ever made!
Guest vNa5h Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 themes support will take a long time i guess
Guest felystar Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 IT would be best if tilal would make the camera work properly! his ROM would be the best rom for Skate ever made! Yes, I think so. But we all have to knoe that it is very difficult to make something from zero like he is doing. So we have to be patient
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 themes support will take a long time i guess No, look at my video on the previous page. The code is working, it's just not official, yet.
Guest sui785 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 do you mean 7/4 build or the latest build ? you said you still uses 7/4 build , why ? and what works for you and what not ? 7/4 and I still use it because it's the latest stable one.
Guest trueno2k Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 (edited) At least it looks like there is no camera wakelock anymore :) This means no battery drain. How long before we can see a new S3 kernel update for download?... I'm in no particular rush to have camera preview working just as long as the camera itself is working for my OMC!... I also think as long as all the original tweaks/hacks/fixes that was originally designed for S3 kernel should suffice... Camera preview fix doesn't really need to be that important to fix as imo stability, speediness, smooth operations, & long battery life should be priority for CFX!... EDIT: Sorry for gate crashing this thread with my S3 kernel request Edited May 4, 2012 by trueno2k
Guest carpon Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 strange ! after installing build 2\5 the cam preview works but cam don't is this normal ?
