Can't download the codec because it has not been released for our processor yet. It is called Open Max. Search the forum for a petition and sign it if you haven't already

Do you mean the audio codec?

There is a camera codec that will help with audio playback from videos as they are all linked in, which is Open Max

I am not sure if it is only a problem of playback but audio is recorded well, or the audio itself it is recorded badly.

If it is a playback-only problem, it is ok, I can play videos in my computer.

If it is about the audio recording of video, then it is a more important problem.

I connect skate to my mac but I cannot see it anywhere as modem.

Any driver, any help on this?

Unfortunatelly, can't help with Mac since I don't use one.

USB tethering tested on Win7. There it worked.

You selected turn on usb storage? Should just appear on desktop like a usb drive or similar.

Yeah, I found this, but still not appeared as modem, in the list of modems.

I 'll try turn on mass storage and take a look again, but I think it has nothing to do with modems.

In network settings of mac, I expect to see something like 'zte skate' in modems list, as I see 'nokia, zoom, motorola' etc.

Working a treat for me, tethered posting this now via my Mac.

EDIT: Realised you do have to pay for the Android part of it for £4 once trial runs out, may be worth it though.

@cooler11: stock Android tethering doesn't work, you have to use an app like PDANet or Tether like the one Josh92 just linked to.

Got a strange bug yesterday and today. The notification bar "widget buttons" changed size randomly. First I could fit 6 next to each other, but then they got much wider (don't know what I did for that to happen) so only 4 fitted. Now earlier today it changed back to the less wide icons. So all is well now, hope it doesn't happen again any time soon. Forgot to take a screen when the wide buttons were in effect. Got a screen of how it's now, but that doesn't show anything wrong.

No only ICS based roms have this issue. But you can use 3rd party apps like the ones I said. I got usb-tethering working, but wifi tethering remains a problem. Anyone got it working with an app? Doesn't work with foxfi for me.

@ubernoob: aha, I did change themes and didn't reboot. That's probably it.

Even though I can transfer files with bluetooth between my mac and skate, which means that computer 'sees' skate and they are paired, I cannot connect to internet using bluetooth connection and skate's internet service.

I thing that it is about using skate as a modem, and connect through bluetooth.

I connected my mac to internet doing this way, with my 5years old nokia!!!

So, at last, I hope I can connect computer to internet using my skate.

How can we use skate as a modem?

USB tethering works for me on Windows 7.

Bluetooth should, too, but I didn;t test.
