Select Pico TTS and click Listen to an example.

Works for me. However, Google TTS does not allow me to listen to an example.

I also installed iris and she talks back to me no problem using Pico TTS.

great rom, just upgraded to 15/06... one problem ive found so far, when installing something from the pc (searching for an app on the play.google.com, click install, chosing my skate, click install) it instantly force closes on my phone...

Just noticed that I cannot find my dlna server on this ROM - have tried a number of apps and no success so far so I suspect it is multicast issues

Will dig out logfile later, but can anyone else confirm this bevavior?

I'd love this 6/15 ROM if it improves the compatibility of some apps. The following apps were working flawlessly on 5/31 ROM, but now they are not.

Also, I've found, that the battery is draining really fast with this update (flashed from scratch, not updating). Overnight, with nothing turned on, it dropped from 100 to 80 percent.

So I'm sticking back to 5/31, which had basically no issues for me.

have you used Betty battery stats and cpu spy to give an indication to what's causing the drain? :)

I've used the built-in battery stats from the settings (which indicated nothing more, than android system and basic stuff, also, the phone wasn't awake which sometimes happens) and also advanced task killer to kill everything before going to sleep.

Could be that's caused by the phone not going in deep sleep mode. That was an error in earlier versions as well. Flashing S3 kernel helped in those cases.

There is one thing that is the most important to take the pictures , is the media lib to fix that annoying line and poor camera

When qualcomm release the openmax drivers ie. Never, or when some very skilled dev finds a way around it.

Reinstalled this ROM after lapsing back to the very excellent CM7 while waiting for the bluetooth fixes etc to come in line.

Only issue I've had so far (other than lack of space for apps - easily solved with Link2SD which I prefer) was Voice Search not working.

To resolve this, remove the system app using Link2SD (choose System Apps from the filter), scroll down to Voice Search and choose uninstall. Next, install Voice Search from Google Play and - bingo - voice searching functions correctly.

Excellent work to all involved. Not bad for £80 quid, this phone

Thanks! As nobody was really discussing about that, I actually thought that there was no workaround (e.g. like panorama mode). I love this feature :D

If you're going to use an ICS ROM then it's 95% likely that you'll never have smooth HQ video/Youtube.

I get the need for HQ YouTube etc but Panorama? Why on earth would anyone want this? The camera is AWFUL. Just about good enough for quick snaps you see of something otherwise worthless. Just don't understand.

Just a note: QUALCOMM HAVE SAID NO TO SUPPORTING OPENMAX VIDEO CODEC, SO:

NO PANORAMA

NO HQ YOUTUBE

Now please stop asking for these to be fixed, as it is now likely they never will
