Guest tilal6991 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 That's really surprising as it seems most of us are having the rebooting issue. For me it seems to happen at any time and it freezes for quite a while before it finally reboots. Are you over locking?
Guest Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 (edited) I was getting reboots out of the box. I am not on this rom now because I need stable today, but tonight I can do some testing and provide some logcats. I was not overclocked, running as it comes,245-787 Edited January 31, 2012 by Guest
Guest Frankish Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 (edited) Are you over locking? Of course not tilal i'm not that stupid! I had a reboot with DDMS running and it showed nothing upon the reboot. I've attached my last_kmsg which hopefully shows something? I have done 3 reflashes. I may try one more without gapps to see if the gapps is causing the issue. The rom is fantastic otherwise. I was getting reboots out of the box. I am not on this rom now because I need stable today, but tonight I can do some testing and provide some logcats. I was not overclocked, running as it comes,245-787 That's odd as mine is set at 122-787 and i can't change it.last_kmsg.zip Edited January 31, 2012 by Frankish

Ahh fair enough. Been trying to reproduce the reboot while running logcat but it doesn't want to reboot now. Just seems totally random hmm... Managed to catch a reboot but logcat shows nothing. Not sure what else to do if last_kmsg doesn't help. An excerpt from my previously posted kmsg. Kernel panic. Just seems totally random hmm... I am guessing the backporting of 3.0 drivers could have something to do with it. But just a guess, probably entirely wrong as I know jack s*** about building roms

Guest PedroVader Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Looks like you're running stock partitions to me, your system partition is 220mb so you'll be fine to install.
Guest victormun Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Alright, my first impression about this ROM: it's awesome and it's staying as daily-use-one. I've had just a few reboots (cause most by the GPS) and I love how quick it is. All the apps I tend to use work flawless, so... I'm keeping it. Now I'll check how the battery life goes :) Thanks tilal for this GREAT ROM and work you're doing! PS: I used a TPT partition of 200mb (option 2) and used the normal ICS-Gapps.

Guest tilal6991 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Kernel panic? That's interesting... that would be to do with the graphics drivers. All the issues suggested seem to be linked. I'll take a look when I can. Also I'll post a opengl enabled rom as a proof of concept to see the speed of it.
Guest tilal6991 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Ics does not support flash. Absolutely correct.
Guest jonathanb Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Absolutely correct. but it should work because adobe have updated flash to support ice cream sandwich
Guest tilal6991 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 but it should work because adobe have updated flash to support ice cream sandwich But the arm6 flash has not been updated.
Guest syst3m68 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 all is working fine for me apart from the odd kernel panic, nothing i can't work around.
Guest JetKun Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Great work Tilal! As long as there's Reboot System Persistence of settings, functioning camera profiles and EXT3 functions, then I'll be a happy bunny. In the meantime, the work you do is epic- you should be on the CM team- why aren't you?

I'm guessing it will be a struggle to figure out exactly what the issue is and how to fix it? Its a real shame as its a great rom otherwise!
