Links up. one slight booboo...might have forgotten to change the ROM name in the build prop so although it says RLS5 it is definately 5.1 lol

@TMV users:

TheTMV version is now up. be sure to provide feedback as i do not own one. So there was no testing as such.

Just thought, Now have it all sorted!

came in just to have a quick look at the forum and now RLS5 for the TMV!

while I am here

Thanks to Reider 59, I now have a patition in the sd card.

Thanks to Amphoras for the TPT and I think the TPT Helper app, all worked great!

Cheers to PsYcHoKiLLa, for answering a newbie's first post, "mods and add ons"

Most of all thanks to raverrr for the fish n chip roms, will give RLS5 the TMV a go (when work allows)

The SF2 version works fine after flashing the Vivacity kernel ontop of it before booting, though.

you had me worried then XD. power widget definately working in tmv version yer?( just to re-re-re confirm lol)

Also added that widget groupings patch but seems to have failed . widgets still in normal list view.

Which kernel Josef (just to be clear ;))?

It's inclueded. should work fine. Joseph found that the french ROM works fine if you just replace the zImage and leave the ramdisk intact.

(witch is the same as flashing the OC kernel by fuzzra)

TMV version does not boot at all. When I make it boot (replacing the init script, you know) it works but no notification bar is present. So I went with the SF2 Free ROM with Vivacity kernel...

My neighboor n mate died today. So not doing a lot. But installed 5.1 on my SFII. Seemed to use less power than any other ROM change, between changing and adding my swag back-only dropped 20 with numerous reboots, using BT, installing, restoring and some uninstalling, then moving apps around and generally farting about-as you do. Tested BT too and that works, Wi Fi is aok as far as I can tell. Damn, need to put the music player back I like. I`ll do that and give it a rest under the circumstances.

Many thanks, making a small donation after Thursday and another a couple of weeks down the line to top up. Cheers all.....

Same, a fresh install of 5.1 in Viva just sits at the green android...

Seems there has been some confusion as far as the tmv version is concerned. Link will be killed shortly.it will be back up when working and tested.

Downloading 5.1 now, my misses says hers is sore on the battery now, but mine seems to be doing OK, but I will blast both with 5.1 tonight and see how we do.

Nokia wouldn't be this good with the updates. smile.gif

Did you try hardware decoding on a stock rom?

How to use it ? Need application like this one ?

You need an app. And you need to use insmod in the terminal emulator.

If you mean the chinese crescent then idk. Remove the boot animation and try.

GPS seems massively improved; I get a fix almost instantly, even though I'm currently indoors and the sky is overcast. Bluetooth actually works. Lovely stuff! I'd only just installed RLS4 a few days ago, after using flibble's rom for a few months. That ROM turned a usable phone into a good one, and now it's like I have a new phone all over again! Excellent work chaps, thank you very much indeed.

Two quick questions; how would I get rid of the power control widget in the notification bar? I'm already set in my ways and use the homescreen widget. Also, does anyone know how you customise the boot animation? I have my heart set on this cute fake BIOS one, but I have no idea how to go about installing it.

You'll be able to get a generic slip case I would've thought, but not something tailored to the device unfortunately.

FWIW I just tried playing a video using both MX and Mobo players, both of which I have used in the past to watch stuff using a stock rom. Neither could decode a fairly bog standard mp4 file in hardware. I almost never watch anything on the phone, so this is hardly a dealbreaker, but I thought I would log my experience all the same.
