Guest Liamness Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Well yeah, that's kind of the type of thing I was suggesting. Would fit an HTC Desire, or an iPhone 4/4s (as shown in the product picture), so hardly tailored to the product. I actually use a cradle designed for an iPhone 4 in my car, so clearly the devices are of a similar enough size.
Guest soami Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 guys, do you have a phone case for the t-mobile vivacity? In China here no, suitable case for it. plz let me know.thx!! It doesn't have to be for Vivacity. Seach for case suitable for iPhone 4, N8, E71, i900 Omnia etc - all phones with similar size.
Guest soami Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1439.l2649 Fits like a glove :) Nice but p&p is a joke when you live outside of UK...
Guest Titas Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 (edited) Thanks raverrr & Co - flashed 5.1 + Vivacity o/c kernel = . Bluetooth connects fine. Just personal preference but I think the notification bar widgets would look better if they were sharper/less fuzzy. Also, would it be possible to have an option menu for which widgets are displayed? (I think CM7 has this) - I would like to add airplane mode + screen brightness toggle. (edit - OK - I've found them!) Will check deep sleep / battery life etc over next 24 hrs or so. Edit: overnight 99% of time in Deep Sleep. After 16 hrs of mainly standby battery is now at 70% Edited April 5, 2012 by Titas
Guest Josef Prusa Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Nice but p&p is a joke when you live outside of UK... Well, these should fit the Vivacity quite fine http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-STYLISH-CRYSTAL-CASE-COVER-SCREEN-PROTECTOR-APPLE-IPHONE-4-4S-/320881093204?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhonesCasesPouches&var=&hash=item76c1f27f2b#ht_2644wt_1151 You just have to use a sharp knife to make some cuts and maybe widen some holes... Basically - if it fits iPhone 4, it will fit Vivacity more or less comfortably. As for the P&P - these cases are made in China, co no problem there, I suspect.

A word of caution - the above case is crystal poly-carbonate which I believe will be too rigid / hard. If you want this style of case choose silicone / gel / rubber which will be flexible enough to accommodate the small differences in size between the iPhone & Vivacity. I have a silicone case which fits quite well. After the suggested modification with a sharp knife it was really quite good but I have reverted to the tabbed pouch style case because the power button on my Vivacity is very low profile & I found it difficult to operate "through" the case cover (btw putting a small sliver of plastic between the case and the button can largely alleviate this problem).
Guest mooms Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Did you try hardware decoding on a stock rom? yes of course, and it works.
Guest app10336 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 (edited) yes of course, and it works. I has tested same video (10sec.) with codec (h264) with different HxW with MX Player 1280x720 = HW rendering (but bug a lot) 640x360 = SW 640x480 = SW h263 (3gp) 352x288 = HW mp2 hdtv 1280x720 = HW (720p work fine) if you will try ^^ Edited April 4, 2012 by app10336
Guest fr0do Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 A word of caution - the above case is crystal poly-carbonate Have to agree with this. The sides of the TMV are identical to the iphone4 but the back is very different... The TMV is rounded. The camera and the buttons are all in different positions too. Why are we discussing this in a ROM thread? LOL

Guest iharrybao Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 have you found that the front camera is upside down after flashed the RLS5.1??
Guest PsYcHoKiLLa Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) It's a known problem with the kernel, it does it on some phones and not on others. The kernel was made by Fuzzra, here : http://android.modac...erclock-kernel/ You could either flash the alternate kernel he lists for people who are getting the upside-down camera or use another camera app, personally I would flash the kernel zip... In case of an upside down front camera (likely if you use a ROM based on P771FV1.0.0B05 such as F'N'C3,) use this instead: MediaFire: sfii-oc-kernel-060312-flip.zip RapidShare: sfii-oc-kernel-060312-flip.zip Just use clockwork recovery to flash it as you would with a rom. Your camera should be fine after this. EDIT: Just noticed that your profile says you have a Vivacity, these kernels seem to be only for the SF2, so stick one of the Vivacity kernels on your sdcard too so if you get stuck you can just flash that instead. I use the LGCamera app which works fine with the "upside-down" kernel....Grab it here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rubberbigpepper.lgCamera&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsInJ1YmJlcmJpZ3BlcHBlci5sZ0NhbWVyYSJd Edited April 5, 2012 by PsYcHoKiLLa

Just for information, it seems deep sleep was not active when you are connect to power supply.

I upgraded from SF1 to TMV @ Xmas cos it was a great deal & my SF1 was passed on as a present. My TMV does everything I want & it does it well; BBC iPlayer, music, takes great photos, it's fast with overclocking to 900MHz + & it looks good. Sure, the Arm 6 processor is ageing a bit now & there are dual core & quad core phones out there but honestly people are really impressed by what my phone can do - especially when I tell them it only cost me £70! As far as FnC goes I expect the release of 5.1 again imminently. In fact you could flash the SF2 version & then the Vivacity o/c kernel (one after the other with rebooting) & you'll get the same result.
Guest darren watson53 Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 just a quick thanks to the guys that helped me sort my phone out yesterday, and n4y4nrules, raverrr and anyone else involved in FnC that im now using. top job guys, much appreciated :) Darren.
