[KERNEL] S series kernel for "all" custom ROMs

When I was testing the latest cm7.2, prox sensor worked. But I had to calibrate twice. First calibration failed although it said that the sensor was calibrated successfully. May happen sometimes. Nothing was changed regarding prox sensors in the latest kernels.

Nope, no matter how many times calibrate, doesn't work, I have curiosity to test smartassh3,so I keep it a few days and restore my nand of previous CM7.2

C3C0, I just tried to build recovery and ROM using your kernel and it came up with something like (I can't remember exactly):

make: *** [TARGET_KERNEL_BINARIES]: Error 2. Stop.

are you familiar with this?

ok, i just got this error again and I think I've found the problem. But I don't know how to solve it.

In drivers/input/touchscreen/ft5x0x_ts_fwup.c, it can't find

#endif

#elif defined (CONFIG_MACH_RACER2)

#include "Ver17_20110721_028_P728T_app.i"

#elif defined (CONFIG_MACH_SKATE)

#include "Ver11_20110808_043_9485_skate_app.i"

#else

#endif

#include "Ver11_20110808_043_9485_skate_app.i"

Help? :D

I'm no expert, but I remembered that C3C0 included drivers for other touchscreens in his S kernel so I think you will have to try and compile a version with a older version of C3C0's kernel.

Hmm... I never had these kind of errors. Sorry for not following the forum more carefully lately. Playing with galaxy tab 7 plus. : D

Ah. Ok, I'll switch to Lalit's kernel for now and hope this fixes itself!

And Galaxy Tab +, Is that the same as the Tab 2 but a different name for a different market?

That's it. It's not mine though. My company gave it to me to test my work project on it... Quite a nice piece of hardware.

Oh, I didn't know you also did Android development professionally. That's nice.

Looks like that file is missing in my git. Probably thanks to gitignore list. I will add it today.

Thanks, I didn't know where it would be so couldn't compare to Lalit's kernel on github.

ICS S3 kernels updated for compatibility with native wifi tethering that has been recently fixed in my ParanoidAndroid ICS ROM

Makes no sense to flash this on paranoid android since rom already runs this kernel.

Only volume boosted version to boost volume.

C3CO can you port these kernels to ZTE Blade? Or at least the volume boosted ones?
