After some stability testing and getting everything to fit on a 150MB system partition it should be ready for some testing now.

 

I don't want to publish the ROM publicly just yet as the ROM has been created in the English language, so there definitely needs to be modifications made to other languages. Within the settings menu is a good example. So if you can read english and will convert menu text to your language for me then I'll give you the ROM to explore so that it can be cleaned up.

I can work on the spanish translation. It's only an XML file, true? I think I can go with it.

Well, that was what I was thinking but it's just occurred to me that I could just pull some of the translations from Jelly Bean for the settings menu. I could probably do that myself, but what I need to know is what languages need to be the focus. Spanish is one, but what else? It's just that I'm obviously not going to translate every language file myself as that'd take me far too long.

 

I think that's what I'm going to do. I'll pull the translations from Jelly Bean and then if people want other areas translated I'll add them once the ROM's released. And don't worry, this shouldn't take me a long time to do. It'll just get a little tedious copying and pasting between multiple files and then double checking to make sure I didn't make a mistake :)

All hardware should work with it, just like it does with H3 Blues :)

 

If you've got an SD-EXT partition setup then the ROM will automatically use it.

Hopefully not too much. It's still Gingerbread at the end of the day, but it just looks a whole lot nicer and the apps are more modern.

YouTube and Gmail are already removable, since they're the ones people tend to remove if they don't use them. The others (Talk and Search) are system apps since you can't download them from the Play Store.

 

I may have the ROM ready for a few people to test soon. I'm just double checking everything right now.

 

EDIT: And by the way, I ended up translating everything important. Theres some small things that could be translated at a later time though.

It looks like the only issue so far isn't with the ROM itself, but my kernel might effect WiFi for some people. I'm investigating the cause and working with the testers to get things back on track.
