Guest tdroza Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Any idea whether photosphere can be enabled in the camera app (it says device isn't supported when I switch to photosphere mode)? I know it won't be ideal with only a front-facing camera, but I was hoping to be able to play around with it. To answer my own question, if I set 'ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus' and ro.product.brand 'ro.product.brand=google' in build.prop then I get around the "device not supported" message, but now it just fails telling me that I don't have a rear facing camera. ...so I guess it's not possible.
Guest PaulOBrien Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Would photosphere actually be useful with the front camera? P
Guest tdroza Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Would photosphere actually be useful with the front camera? P Useful? No, not really. I was just curious to play around with it :-p
Guest Jeremyaayala Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 (edited) Alright! Something to really be thankful for on Thanksgiving, JR9! LOL. Edited November 22, 2012 by Jeremyaayala
Guest Cam2 Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Nice work Paul. I'm glad to see that you're still giving this ROM such great support. I flashed JR9 this morning and it's running smooth as silk.
Guest jmagee Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Still all good here. User accounts is a bit slow to start but looks good although I've deleted it already as it doesn't look like apps can be shared. I'm not installing things twice with only 16gb to pay with
Guest chapelblade Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 On the jr9 lock screen, the hours and minutes are in different fonts.
Guest jmagee Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Getting a fc in gmail when I try to follow a link in an email. Anyone else had this?
Guest PaulOBrien Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 On the jr9 lock screen, the hours and minutes are in different fonts. Looks exactly the same as stock, and my N4... P
Guest jmagee Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Looks exactly the same as stock, and my N4... P Hours are in bold. Looks good to me though.
Guest PaulOBrien Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Hours are in bold. Looks good to me though. That's how its supposed to be! P
Guest tdroza Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 I can't play flash video in the old browser in Jr9, eg on BBC news site (worked fine in Jr8). Any ideas why?
Guest PaulOBrien Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 I can't play flash video in the old browser in Jr9, eg on BBC news site (worked fine in Jr8). Any ideas why? Hmm, I'll double check it... P
Guest jmagee Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 That's how its supposed to be! P I thought as much. I wasn't the one complaining ;-)
Guest khetan Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 Just installed JR9; great work! But, am I the only one who can't access the "new" quick settings from the notification bar ?
Guest james 8877 Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 (edited) Great rom as usual. Any idea how to get bbciplayer working ,not compatable on playstore . thanks. Edit.. Solved. Edited November 23, 2012 by james 8877
Guest khetan Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 Just installed JR9; great work! But, am I the only one who can't access the "new" quick settings from the notification bar ? Never mind, idiot mode. If you swipe down on the left side of the screen, general notifications, if you swipe down on the right hand side quick settings. Apologies.
Guest PaulOBrien Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 I might add an option to change it to two finger swipe instead... P
Guest simhal Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 Just installed Jr9 prebake and have noticed a couple of things - YouTube doesn't seem to have the preload option and in landscape mode the softkeys are on the bottom of the screen. In the last one I tried (Jr6 I think) preload was there and the softkeys were on the right hand side. Is this an intentional change or is it me?
Guest PaulOBrien Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 The YouTube preloading fix has only just been readied. :) Yes, the prebake button location is restored to stock-style by majority verdict! P
Guest PaulOBrien Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 I've just updated the kitchen to include the patched YouTube app with preloading enabled and also updated versions on a couple of the preinstalled apps. P
