Guest Josh92 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) Hm, which gapps should I be flashing? One I've used adds google accounts but got no play store/gmail etc. It's an ICS one, 0429 from memory? Nevermind.. n00b alert. Edited July 17, 2012 by Josh92
Guest betterthanjordan79 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) Firstly I would like to thank tilal6991! This was ported so fast and great progress has been made so far. It runs very nice when over-clocked to 940mhz but at stock speed it does lag quite a bit esp in the launcher. OK so I've been testing it to see what works and what doesn't! Here's my list! Guest gacama Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Downloading I'll give a try, will report later
Guest chrisbrew Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 47 and no idea! Played around with this and I can only see minor differences compared to cm9. I've got to admire lalit at such a young age being able to achieve something like this is outstanding. I've been using cm9 since getting my omc and I think I'm going to stick with it until this rom is out of beta which probably will be sooner than later going on lalit's expert abilities.
Guest droidbittin Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 thx, tough to much broken for me, will wait a while longer and hope you guys will fix it :)
Guest Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Apart from the aforementioned issues its nice and smooth so far. After a reboot gallery started working. Wifi working too. All in all pretty great for an initial release!
Guest droidbittin Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 where can i find gapps for jelly bean or is it the same as for ICS?
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 where can i find gapps for jelly bean or is it the same as for ICS? Not the same :P
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Difference between storage/sdcard0 and mnt/sdcard ??
Guest droidbittin Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Not the same :P hm okay, have somone found a gapps where you can add your google account so the google calender etc gets synced?
Guest gacama Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 I think this build is a very good start, much better than first ics build, but have a loooooong way for being stable, as always good work lalit
Guest plegdroid Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) hm okay, have somone found a gapps where you can add your google account so the google calender etc gets synced? Its in settings :) but useless without gapps. is darn sexy though :D Edited July 17, 2012 by plegdroid
Guest FoxVictor.be Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) Its in settings :) but useless without gapps. is darn sexy though :D Works fine with the latest gapps used for CFX-ICS. Account syncs, contacts and calendar work fine. Play store works, downloaded GMail, syncs/works. Side track: flashed superuser, although it behaves as working, no root access, so no SD Speed Increase, Link2SD, Titanium Backup... Can't blame me for trying ;-) Edited July 17, 2012 by FoxVictor.be
Guest plegdroid Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Works fine with the latest gapps used for CFX-ICS. Account syncs, contacts and calendar work. did you flash a clean flash? I went over the top of what as iam lazy like that :D I'll try a clean flash :D
Guest Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Yeah Google account sync/calendar/google sites worked for me on a clean install aswell
Guest FoxVictor.be Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 did you flash a clean flash? I went over the top of what as iam lazy like that :D I'll try a clean flash :D Yep, clean: the usual, as described in the CM9 "release" post from Tilal
Guest droidbittin Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 will try and see if i get it working with the ICS gapps :P
Guest iReece Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 So, I'm guessing that this isn't worth a flash until the next release, due to lack of gapps and lack of features (as is obvious, due to an alpha release) I'll wait for the next one, I suppose :)
Guest WiiSky70 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) Critical Error found : Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped FIX is required , oh my god i didn't even setup the phone :o UPDATE : After PIN code is input the device automatically reboots Edited July 17, 2012 by WiiSky70
Guest PsYcHoKiLLa Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 CM10 seems to be getting more "Cyanogeny" now... For those of you who don't normally check our gerrit, the CM JellyBean source just got a bit sweeter as we merged the first chunk of CM features in. The preview builds released thus far were fairly close to AOSP base features. Time for that to change The linked commit includes: - Power menu Reboot - Power menu screenshot - Profiles - Lock screen Calendar - Lock screen Weather - Notification light customization - Battery light customization - IME Selector notification toggle - and a few more things to support Settings This is the first set of many features that will make their way into source, slowly bringing CM10 up to feature parity with CM9, then surpassing it. https://plus.google....sts/afgwpdBBkkD
