Guest rickywyatt Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 Does Rooting work with xolo x900? yes if your using ics xolo
Guest shootomanUK Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 just use this file to replace you one in system/etc i dont have sdcard.tar in system/etc :-(
Guest shootomanUK Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 i just reset phone and tried the script from benichou: Please select an option ---------------------------------- 1 Root 2 Mount SD card 3 Quit ---------------------------------- Please make your decision:2 Please connect your device with USB-Debugging enabled now Please Run adbd-Insecure and click the 2 box (enable and enable at boot) then remove usb and reconnect then click to continue once done 3765 KB/s (312354 bytes in 0.081s) pkg: /data/local/tmp/adbd-Insecure-v1.1.apk Success Press any key to continue . . . remount succeeded cannot stat 'C:\SanDiego\tools\vold.fstab': No such file or directory cannot stat 'C:\SanDiego\tools\android.fstab': No such file or directory mv: can't rename '/data/local/tmp/android.fstab': No such file or directory After reboot SD Card is mounted in sdcard_ext Benichou! Press any key to continue . . .
Guest rickywyatt Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 no need to use that if it aint working use winrar or 7zip to just extract sdcard.tar then move vold.fstab to your sdcard tgen with a root explorer move vold.fstab from your sdcard to your system/etc/ over writing the file already there
Guest shootomanUK Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 i know why it cant find them, benichou needs to re-upload his tool becuse the directories are different: c:\root san diego\root san diego\vold.fstab c:\root san diego\root san diego\android.fstab and not C:\SanDiego\tools\vold.fstab C:\SanDiego\tools\android.fstab
Guest shootomanUK Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 ok i ive done that moved vold.ftab to system/etc/ overwrited what next do i need to use the sd binder app ?
Guest shootomanUK Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 Properties: Name:sdcard_ext location: / permissions: rwxrwxrwx size: 0 bytes Timestamp : 21 Oct 2012 12:44:00 Owner: root Group : root Linked to: /mnt/sdcard_ext
Guest shootomanUK Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 maybe it dont like my sdcard its 32gb class 10
Guest Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 (edited) i know why it cant find them, benichou needs to re-upload his tool becuse the directories are different: c:\root san diego\root san diego\vold.fstab c:\root san diego\root san diego\android.fstab and not C:\SanDiego\tools\vold.fstab C:\SanDiego\tools\android.fstab That is because when you extract the zip/rar, it contains the actual folder you need to move to C:\ that is why you see C:\sandiego\sandiego and not C:\sandiego it cannot work like that, I know I done a few times myself  Edited October 21, 2012 by Guest

Guest geoff1951 Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 Hi BlueMoon, I'm with punjabi - my skills lie elsewhere, and I don't mind being treated like an idiot (see my post 19 Oct, 11.10, on page 2 of this thread) if it helps me avoid making a mess of something! :)

How did you go on with CS by the way? Hello! I haven't given them a all yet... As from past experience they've had me on the line for upto an hour! So just waiting for the right time... Thanks
Guest SmoKe42 Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 I've downloaded everything mentionned by Ricky but I've not the option for mounting SD cards. Is that normal? I guess the link for download the script isn't updated
