Guest impartit Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 I have tried everything to root this device to no avail save for unfortunately changing the MAC address - it now cannot connect to a WiFi Internet. The device is supposed to be equivalent to a ZTE Blade 2 or a ZTE Crescent not that this has helped me. Can anyone comment or help?
Guest d3vious2011 Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 try tpt helper it will repartition your TMV (here is a list of partitions for tmv http://www.modaco.com/topic/349795-san-francisco-iit-mobile-vivacity-tpts/) and it installs clockwork mod recovery so you just need to flash superuser files. as for the wifi you could try this guide http://www.modaco.com/topic/354290-how-tosave-your-dead-vivacity/ to force flash a stock rom it should return the phone to out of the box condition (use at you own risk) but have never had a problem with wifi so don't know if it will help (as its used to repair a dead tmvs). I tried everything to root my tmv and install a custom rom, in the end used tpt helper from google apps. Worked like a charm (if only I new about it from the start would have saved me weeks of trying to root the thing). hope this helps.
