I want to test some roms, which would you people commend for me? Please say one 4.2/4.3/4.4 based rom that is fast and not buggy.

I've been running expert rom since yesterday evening, and i can honestly tell you it's the best thing that's happened to this phone. It's very very smooth, incredibly fast and i haven't had a single crash, reboot or anything of that sort.

New ROMs to add:

Slim+ [4.4.2] http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?s=7e0e85aa8e782b2539eb0c08b2a4d7ef&t=772094

Exper ROM (based on CM) [4.2.2] http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?s=7e0e85aa8e782b2539eb0c08b2a4d7ef&t=771955

The correct answer is (2).

The pre-release phones did indeed have scenario (1), but this was fixed by the development team in time for release!

One of the main reasons for me buying an SPV was MSN Messenger, which I can definitely say STAYS CONNECTED when the screen goes off!

P

Try slim ROM :-)

No.

4.4 KitKat based one is the most stable KitKat available right now :-)

I tried Expert and SlimKat roms.

First SlimKat. I'd really like to use a 4.4 based rom as my daily driver, but it's just too slow :/ BUT it really seemed stable

On the other hand, Expert rom is smooth and fast as hell :D I really like it, I will test it for a few days, and it will probably stay on the phone.

Tell me about it. Even after installing a load of apps, it's still fast and smooth. Anddd, if you use the swap settings in the htcmania thread, it keeps apps open quite reliably, without any lag

I'm not sure, but after setting the recommended options in performance control, it may be slower.

I never wanted to use swap, but after trying it out, it's very useful. Now i don't have to reload every single site in the browser after startin something else :D
