I use a normal USB cable going from phone to a twin port pulled from old PC PCB with the data pins linked together and power pins supplied by an old charger. I don't use an otg cable at all. Using normal USB cable, old Nokia charger and twin USB from old dead PC. Link power to one or both ports depending on your preference. If you're like me, I tend to use what I have. I don't know what you have. If you have 2 spare usb extension leads, cut the male plug off and join the leads together.
