Hello, accidentally wiped my partition table. Was wondering if someone with a working G510 (or y300) was willing to help me get the partition table. All you need to do is download Brixfix from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2136738&highlight=msm8225

Then run getpartbin.py with adb enabled on your device and finally post the partition0.bin file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Hi, are you able to get into the pink screen? (Power+VolUp+VolDown). Have you tried with another update.app?

Can anyone post the output of this command:

cat /proc/partitions

Using Android Terminal Emulator.

Thanks a lot.

I can enter fastboot i have custom recovery i can install original recovery or any other recovery and rom,  but only error is just with original soft reset from sd card. It unpacks the update.app file, and when it tries to install it gives me error upate fail 2/2 . I saw with another adb command that i have insuficcient disk space during install phase 2/2, but my internal memory card still  has 1.11 GB .

Currently i'm on CM11 with latest Clockwork. I tried many update apps which worked once (i saved to my PC B170 and B171),  but it doesnt work now, tried with 2 different microsd cards too.

I too encountered this problem, First I Flash and installed the latest TWRP recovery same goes for me update always fail even flashing ROMs. but when I switch to Clockwork Recovery I fixed OK here is what I did, Flash CW recovery at boot load by pressing VOL down + Power BUTTON then format every category just to clear every files to avoid conflict(Cust, Data, Cache, Dalvik, IM etc.) that means erasing the stock ROM then downloaded the latest Stock ROM on Huaweidevice SITE , then it was successful.

Hope this helps.

Managed to work. I will come with more in a few days.

edit: it's only for them who knows what to do and has the tools for it. I had to backup my IMEI, unlocked bootloader to original state (status Locked - not relocked), reset my IMEI to NUL, reinstall original firmware from SD CARD,  and re-root again from SD card and with a root tool (with locked bootloader) , then restore the backup IMEI, unlock again bootloader with the Huawei Code that i asked once, and install custom recovery.

I think also it's the only way if you want to hide your bootloader RELOCKED status from someone to LOCKED .

edit 2 : but anyway this works only once,if you have to restore anytime your firmware from sd card, you can't do you will have update error 2/2 (update failed) (again :) ), only when you reset to NUL your IMEI again. I think it has to do something wih your IMEI.... but can't explain....   i'll go back to CM11 or custom rom again

so these are the steps done by me to resetting the G510 , it reset the phone to the factory default, even the bootloader status will be locked  (not relocked)

presume that you have a device (with unlocked bootloader, rooted) and can't install the update.app from the sdcard (update failed 2/2) , first step is to check your imei number

*#06#   - it shows your current imei number remember (write down)

next step is to follow the guide below:

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=ro&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=es&tl=en&u=http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php%3Fs%3D39ba2edf05519df959e705c366dee044%26t%3D587634&usg=ALkJrhjx8wEmzJ4iYCFOZZEIYHbHBPsEPA

1. download the file http://www.solidfiles.com/d/6d92c20311/

-make a backup from imei with the file

-hack imei  - you will have a blank imei , don't be scared , but be sure that you have the IMEI-BACKUP folder with 5.img file

now you can install the update.app from your sdcard, be sure you have a proper firmware  (b170 or 171 in my case)

after installing the soft, you will have a device without imei, now comes the tricky part. You have to root with locked bootloader - rooting with locked bootloader:

first install the huawei driver (i think you already had this installed if you got an unlocked device),  then download this file for root : https://www.dropbox.com/s/9rfn05fo2y1060z/RootG510.zip

you have to use the dload file like the update.app updatable from sdcard, it will be a small update like 5 seconds, then use the rootx start file. It installs the superuser.

now you are able to restore your imei with the imei backup tool .

that's how to save the phone if you mess it up something.

the problem is now that you have a rooted rom. But there are many ways to remove the root - i didn't checked that because in my case i didn't need it (i still keep the g510 :) )

edit .. don't forget to check imei again ...

i think that's how the warranty is also restored if you have a blank imei. they have an imei backup from a random device from the shop, and they use it for every phone... :) who knows

i read somewhere if you install a rom with a higher version number you can not downgrade, that's why you have update fail error 2/2  - that's why you reset imei to nul... is it true ?
