I have fixed the gps and I am just about to start a full release build.   The problem was a change to the CM11 hardware/qcom/gps repo that we use that requires a new QCOM_GPS_PATH variable to be set

I'm so happy with Slimkat, but I've a few niggles.. Text msgs seem to lag, when I send a text it says, 'sending'... Until I reedit and send again, then it sends. Quite infuriating when your having a text war with the wife. Also, why can't I play minecraft pe in this ROM.. My son is having a mental lol.. Any ideas would be of help

Did anybody manage to upload to or to download to the external SD card using dropbox?

 

With both, up- and downloading, I only get provided the internal SD. For downloading, I did a workaroud with "FolderMount", which is not to bad, but for uploading I'd like direct access to all folders on the external SD.

 

Hints would be appreciated gratefully.

hi,  i've passed from cm 11 nigthly to slimKat, and i have some questions to ask:

1) how can i modify lockscreen's popup? (weather, gmail) i have sequence unlock;

2) why is this rom partially translated in my language (italian);settings are both in english and italian.

3) i have contacts, but whatsapp can't see them, i have no contacts in whatsapp (this happened suddendly, about 1 hour ago i had them.. i didn't modify anything)

i disable zram, and game perfomance are better, there are 3 script by default.
00banner, 50 linuxrelabel, 90userinit. what funtion of them? how to increase more gaming perfomance?

Can't get SuperSU and TWRP to work.

Link2SD won't mount SD card as ext4 (or any other ext)

 

Edit: Enabled SuperSU, it was in the Developer Options. Managed to fix TWRP as well.

Hi everyone, i've used many SlimKat builds on Y300 & now G510. I love this ROM because it's fast & beautiful, BUT... my battery is draining so fast - 1% in some couple of seconds.. There is any solution for this problem ? I thinked that's the cpu usage, so i've installed Performance Control & set the governor to ondemand + row, but the battery consumption remains the same. Please tell me what should i do (without migrating again to the stock FW:)... Thank You All !

You can try my carbon rom 4.2.2

The battery life is amazing and game performance is like stock rom

For me the kitkat rom are good bit the battery life is relly worse

But great work chil360

Thank You Luca (big <3 to Italy, beautiful country!:).. I will test your ROM soon, i don't want to connect the charger at 3 hours :( .. I like the stock ROMs for the fact that the battery use is minimal, if one 4+ ROM can implement "the secret", it would be the perfect ROM.

The battery is at 66% and the phone is powered by 13H2M

3) i tried to reinstall whatsapp or the rom, no solution... even if i add a new contact directly from whasapp!

in concatcs i only have google contacts, if i set "contacts to see" on whatsapp, i have no contact visible.

even with other apps like upptalk, i have no contact, i tried to install Contact+, and even there no contact visible.

 

i have google contacts visible, but only on the phone, no one app can see them

I love rhis ROM and I'm using it since version 4 but now, after version 6.4 link2sd has stopped working with the "mount: invalid argument" error so it cannot create the init script, with versions up to 6.2 there was no problem. Anybody has a solution for this failure of link2sd?

Hi, what version of TWRP are you on, do you have the same problem on 2.6.3.3?

 

 

No problems with 6.6 at the latest twrp (2.7.1.0)

 

 

Issue was me - I didn't follow slimroms installation process - I was dirty flashing over the top of the 6.2, it had worked for previous versions, all good now - thanks for your help guys, put it down to noobness

I have question. What will happen if i change runtime from Dalvik to ART? I saw somewhere that ART is much better then Dalvik and ART runtime will completely replace it in new android release. So what will happen if i change it and will ROM still be stable?

i try to change from Dalvik to ART. the phone start but i experience some app like google+, google search, and calender where crushing repeatedly so i do the fresh install of the rom and clear Dalvik cache, cache,cust,system and data. and since then i am not experience any problem and performance increase.

ART work well.

This is an unofficial build of SlimKat 6 for the Huawei Ascend Y300, G510 & G330.

This is my first attempt at any android rom porting so use at your own risk!

 

This rom was made by porting Dazzozo's CM11 device tree to build against the SlimKat sources.

Now that the porting work is complete, I intend to update this ROM to coincide with the official SlimKat weekly releases.

There may also be a few test builds as I experiment with things before adding to the regular builds.

 

FAQ:

 

How do i get root access?

Go to Settings > Developer Options > Root Access and set it to Applications and ADB

 

How do I change the DPI?

Edid the build.prop file and set ro.sf.lcd_density=240

 

How do I enable Advanced Reboot?

Go to Settings > Security > Advanced Reboot and set it to Show Always

       GAPPS: Any 4.4.4 GApps should work, Slim GApps is the official version for Slim but I use BaNkS GApps

I recomend to try this app after you have installed this build: "Pimp My Rom". Tons of customizations, plus my favourite: DPI CHANGE.

Your screen will look AWESOME, if you switch it to 233dpi (which is its real ppi).

ART is make my phone lag, dan game worse.

version 6.8 has better camera, sound, battery save and gaming performance.
i found some bugs, when auto rotate activated theres seems something left and ruin the screen.

So performance will increase?

tested with antutu benchmark. with dalvik i get 7400+ and with ART i get 8000+
