I'm still trying to fix the RIL for SlimLP but I have made some progress. The current device tree provides proprieties for rild and libril.so but I have found that if I build them from the slimlp source instead I get a lot further. I can connect to the network, receive calls & text messages but I cannot make calls, it crashes out the dialer and says 'Call not sent'.

 

There are still problems with media decoding/encoding but haven't really looked into those yet in lollipop.

I don't think meda decofing is a big problem

This nightly version has no ZRAM. Which the kernel a lot faster , smoother and battery saving

Definition of ZRAM

Zram on = -CPU -battery + RAM

ZRAM off = +CPU +battery , RAM

There isn't a great impact on CPU usage with zRAM, neither battery.

Not for me. zRAM is one of the features for reduce memory consumtion on KitKat.

But it really depends on which way you use your phone.

If WhatsApp install on KitKat with ART enabled, then will work on SlimLP.

libart.so of Lollipop will not work on KitKat.
