6.0 seems to be the smoothest one so far, although according to antutu 5.8 was the most efficient.

See http://www.modaco.com/topic/370237-all-modother-disableenable-swap-zram-fstrim/ for disabling zram and installing fstrim, you may flash them along with rom.

For distributed swap, see http://www.modaco.com/topic/372057-mod-swap-to-system-data-cache/ but this you must manually put into /system/etc/init.d (with running permissions) after flashing rom.

...one question: can I add custom ringtones without installing any additional apps for that?

Guest luca020400

@anotherjib You need to put the audio files in /system/media/ringtones

@Ranx91 For the swap use this luca020400.altervista.org/addon/index.html

Ps:which kernel do you think is better...the stock or the synopsis mod??

anyway this mod (slimkat 6) works very very well...this is my first 4.4 rom that i have tested. it is very smooth and since now,no one random reboots...good work!!!!!

It will work. I performed a dirty flash and everything is working fine.

how to make a dirty flash ?!

Just flash new rom version 6.0 over the 5.9. No need to wipe anything.

Can I flash this rom over the 5.10 release? Or I must to perform a "clean install" in order to get working Slimkat 6?

And have I to reflash the Slimkat 6 gapps, or v5 gapps will work?

Flashed the new Slimkat 6 on Y300. So far issues:

- DashClock doesn't load after reboot / lockscreen clock same

- Viber didn't close fine and got stuck, reboot was required to fix it

Will report if I find anything else.

EDIT:

No issues with Facebook video playback.

EDIT 2:

- After the reboot the settings for call ringtone get lost, also slimkat theme setting resets
