GLTools is an application similar to ChainFire 3D which have many extra features than ChainFire 3D.Let's take a look at those features.

Strange thing: on my FusionX and setting system wide GLSL shaders optimizations suddenly EVERYTHING became smoother than before! :O

Working perfectly,really improves performance.

The latest version just made my phone more smoother on games and overall ;)

I did boost performance in subway surfers as i notice sometime a little lag but now fluiddddd.... :D

Try really helps in games ;)

Nice one! Now you really can optimize individual game performance!

One of more interesting options is force re compression of textures (this will help a lot with games that come with un comprised ones & that is most of them).

When i tick "Optimize GLSL shader" in system wide (or something :P )

Dead trigger opens but gets me to app drawer if i select play :(

Only that game has the problem,all is well :D

I dont have problems with Death Trigger 2!

Optimized shaders do luck nice (visual improvement) bat if the shaders are heavily used the performance will actually degrade a litle (like in D. T. 2 on high settings) .

GTA SA still doesn't work for me with CM11 and GLTools...but i think it's a problem of the ROM because also uno & friends doesn't work.... :/

I can barely run that game smoothly on my 1st gen Nexus 7 and you want it on this device , lol...

UPDATE: ---> GLTools v1.07.apk <-- (XDA Version) 

 

Changelog:

 

-Added CPU emulation, so game support is improved. Note that if your CPU/GPU doesn't really support faked features, games can crash.
-Optimized assembler code using R12 register.
-Plugin server API have changed again (by someone not really known) - now with ARMv7 support.

Every game behaves of differents ways with same settings, you must find the best result  testing those options one by one ...
