Guest nonobio
Hi, Before flashing my Samsung S3 mini, it was recommended to backup EFS which contains IMEI info, so i did it. Is there something similar to backup before flashing my Huawei Y300 ? Thanks
Guest SH3H1
No and no need of backing up imei for Y300 When saying in terms of samsung, they are providing different firmware for different countries and when coming to custom ROMs it is much complicated that can flash in XXX XXY variants only. But Huawei release international firmware which is compatible with all phones and is easy on flashing and thingies. I never had a imei issue or anything I flashed almost all tastes :P

Guest bob hawke
Hello. sorry to dig up a ancicent thread. But say one wanted to find the EFS folder?
Guest
The IMEI is stored on mmcblk0p5. You can extract the content of this partition with linux's dd command using the terminal or ADB: dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p5.img
