The phone also flashes logo at startup. Firmware from emjot for flashtools is not helped out by mistake BROM ERROR: S_BROM_CMD_JUMP_DA_FAIL(2035)

Also only recovery not install too with this mistake

Pls help

This is just a proposal for those who understand the risk of flashing:
 
Official Coolpad F1 WCDMA 020 factory rom and flashing tool
(google translate with minor changes)
 
Official F1 WCDMA 8297w 020 Rom:

Driver 1:
 
Driver 2:
(this one goes if there is an exclamation mark in windows device manager after driver 1 installation)
 
 
Procedure:
 
1. Download drivers
2. Download Official Coolpad flashing tool
3. Press volume down (vol -) and power button together for 10 seconds until "Factory Mode" is shown. "Fastboot mode" - connect the USB cable with PC. Wait for connection.
4. Start the Official Coolpad flashing tool, like shown in picture

1，下载驱动

Yes, but there is a risk of bricking phone, since nobody tested it. Nobody outside of China, to be more precise.

If I were you I would try this as final measure only.

It would be good to download this and keep it if something goes wrong.

In the meantime, try to solve it with flash tool...

I am try on different computers the same error . The phone is dead 4 days) The recovery not installs with a flashtools. But I have his native backup for cwm. But how this help I do not know

I manage to get root on the phone. But this root is not permanent, after restarting your phone you have to root the phone again.

 

 

I have a sort of chinese android market place where i look for root apk and i find this apk

with this apk you manage to get root rights, after the phone is restarted you have to root again. is not complicated - 2 click away and is still better than none.

 

if someoane manage to get permanent root it will be awesome. :)

Well, Cristian, that is great news - and it doesn't matter that it is not permanent.

 

Root enables the MobileUncle app to install CWM and with CWM you are able to 

do the nandroid backup and then 

flash another rom which will probably have the permanent root :D

 

P.S. I think this is vRoot (mobile version)

also mentions 015 official package push to upgrade to 020 after seemingly unable to root it

 

Just for info guys:- Tried the above package, which worked ok and took me back to original coolpad rom (all chinese apps) and did allow OTA update from coolpad, but it wiped out Gapps and CWM.. Only two languages chinese and english.

Changed the recovery img in the rom  for the cwm recovery img and re flashed the rom, this worked fine but removed the ability to do OTA updates, so guess the update OTA function must rely on the coolpad recovery IMG, as i gained nothing i  went back to one of my cwm backups.

Bryfly, now you are an experienced Flash Tool user so could you make a short flashing guide, since we have to fight with the language? :D

 

Factory rom v 015 could be handy if things go wrong.

Would anyone be so kind as to give their impressions of the device? A lot of people seem to have it but not many are yet commenting on the device itself.

 

I'm strongly considering getting one of these to replace my battered Vowney V5 so any opinions would be really helpful.

I'm due to receive mine in approx 7 days and would be grateful.

There is a lot of info on here but all in one post would be ideal.

I have flashed roms before but never owned a phone from China.

When i receive mine i'll try and provide whatever input i can to help.

What do you think why nobody comments about phone? :D

 

Same thing happens at russian 4PDA forum and at two spanish forums.

Most complaints are about problems with root, after OTA upgrades, and I think this was Coolpad's intention.

 

Phone looks good, screen is great, back cover is very firm, camera is better than others in that price range, GPS is perfect.

Gyroscope sensor absence does not affect the screen orientation change. WiFi is slightly better than that of my v987 (which is just fine),

No glitches in most of the roms, official and custom, everything goes smooth

No heating

Big 50g battery (1g is approximately 50 mAh)

Huge ammount of custom roms

3-4 official updates during last 2 months (and option of using updates from a similar phone - TD version)

Not really experienced enough to write a guide re flashing, as when I did it I had my fingers crossed and eyes shut, what I will say is that getting the drivers into the pc was the hardest thing to do, once they are installed correctly the rest was quite straight forward.

I followed the tutorial packaged with the rom which I googled into English, also there is a lot of tutorials on the following forum to help people out

My only real criticism of the phone so far is that the speaker (and earpiece), seem to be a little quiet. However, I have a feeling that this may be down to the ROM I'm using at present, Jonzalvo's port of AOSP. The thread on the Spanish forum mentions something about increasing volumes if required, but I haven't bothered to do so as yet.

 

Video recordings also have a sort of wavy distortion line running through the clip but I'm sure this is down to my current ROM because I briefly tested a MIUI ROM which didn't exhibit the same issue.

I found the way for a speedy download from Baidu :D

 

Use Orbit Downloader. Take care while installing it to skip some adware stuff (cancel things if unsure what they mean)

 

Open links at Baidu to start download (use Chrome browser for translation)

When download starts, go to Chrome menu -> downloads.

Find your downloading file there and right click on it and copy link address.

You can stop Chrome download now.

 

Open that link in Orbit

 

Voila! It flies at 300 - 350 KB/s during last 15 minutes!

Normal dload speed was 60 KB/s and it usually brought corruted files.
