Guest h3dshot Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 Αlso had the same issue, very annoying. What rom are you both using? I only experienced it on stock 018 rom, not happened on miui
Guest gordito Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 I only experienced it on stock 018 rom, not happened on miui I didnt experience it as well on AOSP. But i dont remember what stock version it had on (wasnt mine, i bought that for a friend)
Guest prile Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 I'm using AOSP jonzalvo rom 1.1. whole day and I'm not experiencing any problems now besides the sms (inbox and outbox is separated). Other things are working fine, for now I'm staying on AOSP. I suppose I'll try out the colors later on but I'm not in the hurry.
Guest pletko Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 Besides ColorOS from OPPO and FunTouch OS from Vivo phones, there is MyUI OS - software that operates Green Orange phones: FIRE group from Odd Rabbit forum has one for our phone and it's rated pretty good (9.3) by now If you want to see how MyUI launcher looks like - check it here erm.. wow? finally a rom that has EVERYTHING i need! it's loud, the phone app recognizes +3859x numbers as 09x, it's smooth, nice looking, absolutely great! i just hope that it will be nice on the battery, too :) will report in a couple of days. thanks dakok! ;)
Guest h3dshot Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 has anyone figured out a way to mount the sd cards (internal+external) as usb mass storage instead of MTP?
Guest borsosg Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 In Myui rom must change the files in system/etc/firmware, Bcause it is TD-SCDMA only. There are two modem file in directory (modem_1_wg_n.img & modem_1_tg_n.bin) but the files are same size.... Change firmware dirctory from other WCDMA rom, and it will work.
Guest EvilSeamanRuby Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 Did anyone get whatsapp working on ColorOS?
Guest jay0ind Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 (edited) Did anyone get whatsapp working on ColorOS? Guest dakok Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 @ pletko & borsosg pletko, is MyUI for WCDMA phone (3G working fine)? if it isn't then how do you access Odd Rabbit release internals and replace files (their roms are password protected)???
Guest borsosg Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 I tried that MyUi but the modem files must change for wcdma... As I wrote it originally only the td-scdma modem file (tgn) was renamed to wcdma (wgn). I changed it simply with total commander and don't ask password . Btw the rom is really good with some special feature like gesture control... and lot of extra settings.
Guest dakok Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 It it too much for you to upload it (fixed) at google drive or another decent place? (and to remove apks from /data or /vendor folder if there are any?)
Guest borsosg Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 I will share it evening when I arrive home :)
Guest pletko Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 @dakok i switched networks, got away from those black sheep assholes and went to tomato so wcdma is no longer an issue with me. 2100 is just fine :)
Guest dakok Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 (edited) Now you confuse me...??? WCDMA is 3G standard for data network (and partly voice). If you use rom with TD-SCDMA modem software, you shouldn't be able to connect to any EU 3G data network. So, either you don't have 3G with MyUI or Borsosg is wrong about MyUI being non-WCDMA release. Which one is correct? EDIT: Just found it on ANZHI forum too (under WCDMA rom releases) Download Edited July 10, 2014 by dakok
Guest borsosg Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 (edited) Before I installed Myui ROM I saw inside the system/etc/firmware directory to make me sure that it is a wcdma realize. And I saw the wcdma modem files and td-scdma modem files in the directory. So I installed the ROM, but it doesn't saw my sim card. Then I saw again into directory and the wcdma and td-scdma files was same size. So I changed the full firmware directory from an other rom, I installed again, and it worked. Guest borsosg Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 (edited) @dakok Here is the drive link what I promised https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B36Ay7pVtck6Q24yUnJmTXRLYlk&usp=sharing MyUi with changed modem files. It is works on WCDMA network it is sure. I used it :) An other thing: did you know that if you press back button on the phone for several seconds, you can turn on the side bar :) Edited July 10, 2014 by borsosg
Guest dakok Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 (edited) Thanks mate :) I saw some kind of update for this rom (tdscdma) at anzhi forum today. Cant reach it from here now but tomorrow I will look into it and I will link this rom in my post with recommended roms Edited July 10, 2014 by dakok

Guest baniko Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 (edited) I'm using Lewa OS v.5.1 for ~ 3 weeks. The story is like this: The phone arrived with the AOSP v1 multilingual. I didn't like the fact that was difficult to be connected to the PC and i did change to the Emjot's MIUI v4, multilingual also. My impression was that was a little bit heavy and one (big for me) problem was the fact that was not possible to log in, through any browser, to norton family web section. After that i found that opera mini was not working also. I think that exist a problem between java based software and some versions of MIUI. Then i decided that the multilingual ROM are finished for me and... ... i found Leva v5. First the "LeWa_7to_ROM_8297W_LeWa14.06.19" which was a little "slow" and after the "LeWa_Coolapd-8297w_4.6.28_byLz". With this ROM i m happy enough! - The speed is OK (for sure is not slow!), - is beautiful and nice feeling, - is possible to freeze, with the Titanium, all the chinise apps without problems, - the battery consumption is OK (not super, not bad!). Only 2 complains up to now: - I have not find how (and if) is possible to unlock from the lockscreen with the volume buttons. - I try to understand how is working the data manager / meter app. From time to time i try other proposed ROMs, but every time i go back to Lewa. Now i will try the MyUI and the 036. Edited July 11, 2014 by baniko
Guest dakok Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 Try new Baidu rom. MyUI and Baidu 51 are on the top of Odd Rabbit rom list
Guest dakok Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 Try new Baidu rom. MyUI and Baidu 51 are on the top of Odd Rabbit rom list Edit: I don't fancy MyUI now. Tried it and it says no mobile network when I attempted to make a call. Strange...
