Guest johnickz Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) Guys I noticed camera upgrade in 036 by ATX! Did you notice that too?? What you propose 036 original or 036 by ATX or whats the major differences? Can we put the camera libs and program of 036 in a MIUI out there? Edited July 15, 2014 by johnickz
Guest dakok Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) I moved to Baidu 52. :D Corvette, do you read instructions? You should install Vroot 1.7.7 or newer release. Borsosg, for cwm you need mobile uncle for which you need root. You can't have a simple root solution for first time root... Edited July 15, 2014 by dakok
Guest borsosg Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 You can use this zip from stock recovery too.
Guest corvettec3 Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) Hi, I've made root.where should I install mobileuncletools: on phone storage or on sd? Guest corvettec3 Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 In Mobile UncleTools choose recovery update and choose recovery.img from SD root. thanks. Where should I install mobileuncletools: on phone storage or on sd?
Guest borsosg Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) The Mobile UncleTools install to phone storage, recovery.img copy to SD root. Edited July 15, 2014 by borsosg
Guest dakok Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) You can use this zip from stock recovery too. When I press vol- and power phone just goes into boot... No stock recovery. EDIT: VeseliD commented about possibility of losing his IMEI with 036 restore. What about that? Edited July 15, 2014 by dakok
Guest borsosg Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) When I press vol- and power phone just goes into boot... No stock recovery. EDIT: VeseliD commented about possibility of losing his IMEI with 036 restore. What about that? The phone (you can buy it from anywhere) arrive with custom recovery (usually chinese CWM). So the stock recowery is everytime CWM... You can active it with vol+ and power button (as you know). The chinese recovery looks like this: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B2BIusU_K5QBLUtOTUxkdXZPekU&usp=sharing you can use it without chinese konwledge.... The other thing: I dont think so that my 036 backup about anybody loose his IMEI. I maked this backup from virgin system without Nvram. If sombody afraid of loose his IMEI, before restore my backup, make an IMEI backup from Mobile Uncle tools. I think in any case it is important to make an Imei backup, and a nandroid backup before flash any new ROM, or do a restore from an other backup... In Hungary many peoples used my backup for update his system, and nobody comlained about loosing his Imei... Edited July 15, 2014 by borsosg
Guest dakok Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) Ok, IMEI subject is cleared out now. :) Now, back to stock and custom recoveries. Phone does not have to have a chinese custom recovery. My knowledge about recoveries is like this. There is a FACTORY or STOCK recovery in every phone that is usually activated by vol- and power button. It is easily recognised by android figure on its back and a very basic recovery menu. China sellers usualy put a chinese custom recovery on - for flashing multianguage roms - in your case it is custom recovery made by Mobileuncle team Short guide from XDA stated that you flash recovery.zip from STOCK recovery - so I understood that it is possible to do it from a STOCK (factory) recovery. It should state that it is actually a custom one :) Edited July 15, 2014 by dakok
Guest baniko Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) I moved to Baidu 52. :D... I have try it also. The first boot is OK, but, when i make restart, the phone became stuck in one cycle between the baidu logo and the lockscreen. No matter if i make again wipe cache etc. The reboot from recovery is OK but at the normal reboot again the same problem. The same has happened with the 51 also. Edited July 15, 2014 by baniko
Guest corvettec3 Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) hi, I've just installed 029 official version and I've tried to install update 036 by wireless update but it is failed, probably because on my phone there is cwm. Now I've downloaded twrp (recovery.img). I have to put it on sd card or in a sd card directory? And after that what I have to do? thanks ps. now my phone is again unroot, it hasn't playstore, gmail, google maps even if I have installed gapps by cwm. Let me know also for that. Edited July 16, 2014 by corvettec3
Guest dakok Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 vbaniko I can make reboot with Baidu 52 without a problem. How did you install it? Which recovery? Like this? - Download zip file (rom) and Gapps and transfer that to SDcard- Turn on debugging on your phone, turn off quick boot, turn off phone (some folks remove battery now:))- Press vol. up and power button together for 10 seconds.- You are in CWM now (probably)- Wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition- Mounts and storage: Format System, Cache, Data. Go back- Advanced: Wipe Dalvik cache, Reboot recovery- Install zip from SDcard -> choose zip -> your rom (zip)- Install zip from SDcard -> choose zip -> gapps for 4.1 or 4.2 (zip)- Reboot to systemLeave your phone now for 5 minutes, let it take a breath. Sometimes it would be good to delete .android_secure Android LOSTDIR from (external) SD card before flashing @corvettec3 You have a detailed instructions on the first page. Driver->root->MobileUncle->CWM/TWRP->backup in CWM/TWRP->Gooagle aplications (gapps) You put recovery.img in the SD card root (not in a map)
Guest dakok Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 New releases for today: CoolLife UI 036 Lite v5 Baidu ROM 52 CoolLife UI 036 (Anzhi forum)
Guest corvettec3 Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 @dakok yesterday I made root, I installed gapps with cwm. After I installed 029 official rom following your instructions. After that phone asked me to upgrade to 036. But it failed. Now my phone is unroot. First of all I have to make root with vroot or I have to reinstall gapps with cwm? P.S. In my sd card I have Backup in directory Clockworkmod. I have put recovery.img (trwp) in no directory on sd card.
Guest dakok Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 It doesn't matter. You may flash gapps first if you want to.
Guest corvettec3 Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 It doesn't matter. You may flash gapps first if you want to. to make upgrade to 036, first of all I have to re-make root with vroot?
Guest dakok Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 (edited) You mainly need root for the first time recovery and gapps installation. If you have cwm or twrp, you can install root later Edited July 16, 2014 by dakok
Guest Robi4ok Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Tried 036 version by borsosg. Now i have rooted 034 official version, all my installed apps restored, data usage is working fine. Hope OTA upgrade is also will work. Thanks to borsosg for his backup.
