And am I missing something or is this one 1.3GHz as opposed to our 1.7GHz?

F1 Plus and now this one both seen very underwhelming.

Yes - but if it's an MT6753 as Dakok suspects in the article that he linked to then it's an octo 64 bit A53 compared to the F1's octo 32 bit A7.

So a significantly more powerful processor at a lower speed could still be better than a less powerful processor at a higher speed.

And in general that should also help battery life.

Clock speed isn't everything...

Does anyone has problem about download over baidu (account needed)?

F3 (if that will be F3 model) is slightly faster than F1 but more than a year has passed since F1 was introduced.

I hoped for 5" or 5.2" with MTK6752, like slime00 did :)

I use Orbit Downloader and find it pretty good.

But I have had situations where even with Orbit downloads from some Chinese sites still take ages or fail.

General flashing question - If I backup my apps in Titanium, then copy all the apk files that I want from the data/app folder (or whatever equivalent in each ROM, I think it changes slightly in some of them) to my SD card. Then flash, including the correct wipes, put the apks back in that folder, restart, restore data from Titanium. Will I end up with any problems? Is this a good or a bad idea to shortcut re-installing apps?

Also, do you delete folders on your SD card (system folders, like the Android one, not media folders) between wipes?

Cheers

I'd love to know the answer to the backup/restore/migration question - or general tips on how to ease the migration from one ROM to another.

On the sdcard issue I normally wipe/format it completely but I don't really know if that's necessary.

I got bored so I did it anyway like I described :) Seems to work pretty well. I wouldn't try it with system apps obviously but the method I wrote above worked perfectly for me and was much faster. I mean I assume what I did is what apps like Helium and Titanium do automatically. But I'd prefer to stay away from that as there have been reports of Titanium not reinstalling apps correctly. Seems to work fine with just the Titanium data restore.

I did as I described with the sd card too. Only left my music, picture and backup files on the card and deleted the rest on my laptop with a card reader, the booted to recovery.

Sounds like overcomplicating things, you can just make an update.zip with Titanium and flash it after the rom installation. Given that those apps would play nice once restored; some don't

But if you have a titanium pro copy, batch restoring is not very time consuming

I don't have that many apps that I truly need to restore with its data

Thanks slime

It won't cease to amaze me how guys like Liu Tao can sometimes upload like 10 roms per week. It's absurd

maybe without testing them it's possible, this would also explain a lot about his releases :D

I can't download anymore from baidu since a couple of months, so I really can't help there.

coolpad might have dropped "da bomb" http://www.ADVERT LINK REMOVED.com/news/Coolpad-Fengshang-C-to-feature-Snapdragon-810-SoC-and-4GB-of-RAM_id71194

seeing it's all plastic, has HD screen and 2500mah battery, I believe it will have an human price.. let's see!

impressive.the 5.5 inch screen is bit uncomfortable for me,i am barely able to reach the notifications area with my thumb (if i stretch it enough) on a 5 inch screen. But if price and bezels are kept low,i would consider it seriously. And also if the 810 soc is not the first generation one with the overheating issues.
