I would recommend to everyone leak v3 ROM. I am using it for last two weeks. No bugs found, very stable, no lag, and battery life is excellent:

waiting for some improvements in kk, i switched back to jb. 3d difference is noticeable and some small but annoying bugs (like whatsapp notifications displayed with late, sometimes also hours!) are not present in JB. Hope coolpad's improves 4.4 roms, so portings could improve aswell, right now for me there are no real advantages upgrading to KK (apart from the cool blue led :D ) .

are the F1's non ''w'' kitkat roms better than the first 009 for ''w'' or they are the same thing?

and one more thing,do you switch basebands when going from kitkat to jb?i mean flashing stock jb first to get the jb baseband and then flashing a jb custom rom

don't know about the differences between the two kk, the only think I know is that they are still in a deveopmental phase :) For the baseband, it's included in the rom i believe, so it flashes together with the rom!

Could the better battery life in laek v3 be a result/symptom of worse 3d performance? Or is Kit Kat kernel just better optimized for battery life?

Why not V4?

This has been asked a few times but nobody has been able to answer as far as I can see...

Why not V4?

I am very satisfied with this ROM, and i don't see a reason to switch to v4 (as i have said, no bugs of any kind, no problem with notifications, they arrive instantaneously, 3D is not important to me as i do not play 3D games...).

I think there would be a flood of complaints here by now if baseband change was necessary :D

the battery life has to do 80% with kernel (aka boot.img)

but as that is not opensource we can hope to android one

if there will be any coolpad device for android one with 6592 we will be very lucky

that is the point where great team like slimkat,cm,pac will be very easily compiled for our device

so hope and get ready your Linux machines

Hi, following new dakok's guide to install kitkat factory version with YGDP,on YGDP I saw a message:" YGDP-UI

Encountered a hardware I/0 error while accessing D:\Test Record|CP8297-0-NOSN.........TestLogger_.....Csv"

I turn on phone and it runs. On the first screen of coolUI 5.7 there is a chinese screen with two options. What option should I choose (left one or right one)? thanks

My guess is left one :)

Probably OK for SIM card or OK for statring WiFi

I don't think that it is anything serious...

Sim card isn't inside. I thought that was an option to choose language. And what about error on laptop?

No idea. I flashed several CPB roms and there were no errors

Now to install gapps with mobileuncletools, I have to root phone. I'll do it with vroot or with official coolpad root that borsog attached in this topic?

Official root goes through official recovery

You can install gapps like this:

About phone - tap several times at build version - you are a developer now

Go back in settings to Accessibility and find GMS option there

Connect to wifi and start that GMS option (google apps) :D

I've download file GMS and it is 73MB, gapps that you posted is 135MB. Why? Are there differences (less apps) ? Is GMS free?

Use tools like Better Battery Stats, CPU Spy and Wakelock Detector to check what's using your battery.
