Guest dakok Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 Here is my recovery collection: https://drive.google.com/folder/d/0B36Ay7pVtck6SzRlQ2RsMllPNms/edit You can find the stock recovery from stock 4.4.2 rom in the folder. I saw several examples that people can't flash recovery through Mobile uncle and flashing apk saves the day then: FlashRecovery-v1.1-release.apk So you could add it to the collection if you like the idea :)

Guest slime00 Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 it seems the micromax rom has landed in the russian forum. Don't know what modifications (if any) have been made, but if you want to try it, you find it here: https://yadi.sk/d/EuxM_nz0caJpP

Guest dakok Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 (edited) Guys, I was testing a bit Lenovo A806 and comparing screen to F1. Funny thing is that the LCD clouding that I noticed in F1 long ago (and mentioned in my review) is almost completely gone now??? :) That was the thing that had bothered me the most... Mmmm it still happens to me too, but much less than before, now that I think :O
Guest slime00 Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 (edited) Guys, I was testing a bit Lenovo A806 and comparing screen to F1. Funny thing is that the LCD clouding that I noticed in F1 long ago (and mentioned in my review) is almost completely gone now??? :) That was the thing that had bothered me the most... I just tried with a white wallpaper and didn't notice this clouding, will have to check back tomorrow. a little ot: what do you think about that Lenovo? I was watching it as a possible christmas present, but it gave me the impression that almost every component is from lesser quality than our F1: display, camera, build quality, plus (minus :P) it is single-sim. I also noticed it has almost no support by the community, pretty strange since lenovos are usually well supported (especially the low-budget ones, my a820 had an impressive number of roms available), but I know this could change quickly. I'm pretty sure I'll end buying another F1 :P Edited November 8, 2014 by slime00
Guest dakok Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 Here's image I took yesterday: Not bad actually. Major flaw is the absence of notif. lights. Camera is similar to F1's, sound is fantastic. I got this much: Look at KK 3D score :D Most of the time I get over 1.2GB free RAM
Guest slime00 Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 Not bad! :D I wonder if coolpad will fix that low 3d score (and performance), this is what is mainly keeping me away from kk roms right now!

Maybe you can fix notif. leds with led blinker pro app,it worked on the old a310

Guest dalyer Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) Lenovo A806 ROM to use on F1? (And instructions?) Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick here? Edit: BTW - €1.44 for a cappuccino? Nice! It'd probably be twice that here in Ireland! :D Edited November 9, 2014 by dalyer
Guest xeros2 Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 dakok, can you show the kernel build version & loaded kernel modules of that A806? (cat /proc/version; cat /proc/modules) Maybe we could swap/adapt mali kernel modules & 3d libs from it for our F1.
