Guest slime00 Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 it seems a second version has been released https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0B63_iHv888cbdFh2ZzVsT2VZNzg Arpione, if you want/can root and decrappify this, i bet some users of this rom will appreciate :)
Guest korekore1 Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 yes it has a new kernel..!a decrapified version would be sweet for all the users that don't know/want to do the ygdp edits
Guest dakok Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 Or someone could make a detailed guide for flashing F1 clones through YGDP and I would add that to the end of YGDP Guide :)
Guest jakethedooggg Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 I'd try it! PD: Still with latest Mlais port, any bug so far though, at least with how I use my phone I don't find any bug.
Guest korekore1 Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) How to flash non-8297W CPB's with YGDP tools (UPDATED)1)Open YGDP (password:369) choose 8297W as phone model 2)Choose the CPB from your hard drive. 3)Go on as usual with YGDP and let it unzip the CPB 4)When it finishes go to the root of your C drive, where the YGDP folder is and go to the folder DownFiles that it created. There are the contents of the CPB Look for the file ''phone.info'' (there are 2 of them) and copy them to your desktop 5)Open one with notepad++ and find a line that says ''ProductName=8297**'' (** will be different according to the cpb's origin. If for example the cpb is from India it will be ProductName=8297W_I01 .You now have to delete ''_I01'' so that it only reads ProductName=8297W .You get the logic. You change this to whatever your phone's code name is.If you have a Micromax phone you do the opposite, you add ''_I01'') 6)Now that you made the change save the file and do the same with the other phone.info file7)Next find the file YL-params.bin .Again copy to desktop, open with notepad++ and find the line that says ''1.01.000.P1.8297W**'' (or something very similar, you will see it,there are not many lines in this file) Do the same as before, modify the ''**'' to match your phone's code, exactly like you did with phone.info 8)Save the file and replace all 3 files back to the temp folder. (While you are there replace the recovery.img file too) 9)Ready.Go on with the installation on YGDP as normal. Edited November 20, 2014 by korekore1
Guest Arpione Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 Step 1 is correct, although IIRC you only have to edit PhoneInfo.yl
Guest korekore1 Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 Step 1 is correct, although IIRC you only have to edit PhoneInfo.yl are you sure?It gives phone.info and YL paramers.bin compatibility error if you try to flash without the edit
Guest Arpione Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) I'm not, that's why I wrote IIRC :D ps: I'll upload the decrappified version in an hour if everything goes as expected pps: antutu score 30937, 3D score 6623 Edited November 20, 2014 by Arpione

EDIT:Somebody confirm step 1.Its been a long time since i flashed a non-8297W cpb.I am not 100% sure if you have to change the phone's model on YGDP or choose 8297W as usual.I think that i used to change the model too..If it refuses to flash when you change the model then leave it as 8297W,not a problem at all. Step 1: we must always set as phone model, the phone model we have (for 8297W we must set 8297W), NOT the phone model the rom comes from (8297W_I01). as i succesfully flashed it yesterday via YGDP tools, with your help, as said in the greek forum Edited November 20, 2014 by mixanikosgr

Guest mixanikosgr Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 I was not a regular user of a310rom but here are my first impressions: ram usage 1.1gb again the same languages as V1 i suppose ( i was trying to find greek bur no luck) it is bloated with many stock apps and games but managed to get rid of them easily camera i think is better than V1 loud sound (no viper, dts) location enables itself super smooth the battery voltage falls below 3.6V as V1 low light on capacitive buttons, vibration ok I rooted it with superSU2.16
Guest jakethedooggg Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 Nice then! Now if someone can make a flashable zip with it and decrappified would be nice :)
Guest Arpione Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 Done, link in the first post. No extra apps this time, only root and cleanup.
