Latest Emui b255 by ATX is very good.

Auto brightness is OK, gapps are OK.

Anything else to check?

I tried it and it's very smooth but i miss kangvip tools (to wake the screen via volume button, custom longpress button action etc)

Does anybody know how can we can transport it from another emui?

Yes, but not working.

New features and optimization, as follows:

 

1, the status bar time option, can be centered and hidden.

2. Press the function key options

3. the battery icon set, with the following options:

       Default

       No shows the percentage

       Only shows the percentage

       Hide percentage and icons

       The circular battery icon

 

4. the status bar displays network traffic in real time, with the following options:

        Hide

        Show only upload traffic

        Show only download traffic

        Also shown upload / download traffic

 

5. modify the resurgence screen assistant (see the specific effects of the drawings):

        All keys can be selected Press Action

6. adding close up tone switch, disable google services and other options

7. the pull-down option to join the restart to restart Recovery / Fastboot mode.

8. the power to customize menus and add flashlights and screenshots Options

9. the pull-down notification bar calendar display

         Pull-down notification bar:

          Click time to enter the alarm settings, press enter dates set

          Click on a date into the calendar, press enter dates set

12. the new volume keys wakeup option (no need to modify any key)

 

13. joined APP window operation mode, you can also start multiple app windows, and you can move the zoom window size and position.

       (Mainly transplanted from mokee, part reference code F major, big thank F)

         After starting in windowed mode, the program will appear in the left three buttons:

         Press and hold the bottom button to zoom the window size

         Hold down the middle button to move the window position

         Click the button above to close the current window

 

         Split-screen multitasking currently still in WIP (work in progress) Some app does not support, follow-up will continue to follow up ...

I downloaded the new atx with kangviptools and testing it...... so far very smooth

The latest 12.12 roms

have one serious ploblem

GPS does not work at all

 

Apart from that liutao's is better in general and kangvip is working better.

Also it has less junk and chinese apps.

 

I checked the gps with many apps, went back to an emuiunicom backup to check if my device has a problem but everything was working again,

reflashed the roms but again no gps.

 

Any suggestions about the GPS?

Yeap everything is working fine in ATX except GPS!! I confirm that GPS not working. Like there is no exist!!

 

I have a tweak for you for Accuweather in Emui3. Change ro.locale language and country in en and GB in build.prop and the weather.cn will be replaced (after reboot) with Accuweather with of course better predictions than this China provider!!

 

If we fix the GPS then I think I ll stay in this bautiful ROM a long time..

Does anybody know which files are responsible for the GPS, so we can copy them from a working emui rom?

It will be nice if we can take the files from EMUI-UNICOM rom cause in that ROM the GPS was trully amazing, locking in zero time, the best responsibility of every ROM I have ever used before (even the official ones).

I replaced the following files who were different or non existing ( from emuiunicom 2.3 to emui 3.0liutaokangvip12.12)

 

system/lib/gps.default.so

system/app/YGPS.apk

nvram/apcfg/aprdeb/gps

data/misc/GPS_CHIP.cfg

data/misc/mtkgps.dat

 

also copied a gps.conf in /etc

installed many gps fix apps

 

but no luck :(

 

Someone who knows emui system can help?

Its like GPS didnt installed with the ROM.

I guess we have to wait next version of ATX?

Does gps works in the previous release of ATX normally?

I think its not coincidence that it wont work in both developers. Maybe it has to do with the latest huawei release.

I did the weather tweak and it was working fine.

I'm generally using  another weather widget from the ''eye in sky'' app, in the homescreen (i had been using it since my old phone, because it used very very little ram)

WeatherBZ is the best :)

 

You can choose between providers:

 

accuweather, foreca and weather underground

I used it for a long time, weatherbz is one of the best widgets out there (of course miui inspired).

I ll try the one mixanikos mentioned too but Emui's with accu has good predictions in my place (thats why I was happy that huawei got it inside the rom after that tweak).

I think that accu predictions isnt available in Weatherbz or I am wrong?
