I installed EMUI 3.0 by FIRE baidu team, last release 20/11, 8297w version. It is very very good, camera is good as kitkat official version. It has supersu installed.

Antutu 30165, 3d graphic 6636.

I have only 2 problems: gps no fix with gps test; in earphone mode, answer button doesn't work when call arrives.

How can I do for gps?

Which one of all these versions is the best regarding stability, battery consumption, performance, amount of bugs and general usability? I just don't have the patience to try every release :P

:)

I found even more releases but I guess it would be too much for your sensitive nerves to post links here. :D

...and many emui releases means that the rom is good or has a good potential

My impressions: EMUI 3.0 by FIRE team member baidu, last release 20/11, 8297w version. Multilanguage

http://pan.baidu.com/s/1kTj3m1x

It is very very good, camera is good as kitkat official version. Battery consumption: good. It has root with supersu installed.

Antutu 30165, 3d graphic 6636.

Problems:  in earphone mode, answer button doesn't work when call arrives.

keyboard bar in chinese: is it possible solve?

ps. My experience is positive. I recommend you download it, this version for wcdma. Before I had pure aosp Jonzalvo, but it had many problems.

Like what? I've been using it for months and I haven't encountered any problems apart from the less sensitive proximity sensor.

Maybe he means the KK version, not JB. Don't know, haven't tried his KK.

on pure 4.2: proximity sensor doesn't work, google maps, anomalous battery consumption, camera also with patches.

So try "non-pure" AOSP 4.2.2 from jonzalvo (with or without patches) or CoolUI 4.2.2 041.

My first AOSP on F1 was that non-pure AOSP 4.2.2 v1.0 from jonzalvo and I didn't complain on anything there (including camera, proximity sensor or battery consumption).

Oh, maybe just that WIFI LEAP authentication didn't work - like on all 4.2.x-4.3.x Android ROMs for most phones & tablets.

Now after few weeks with KK ROMs I've got back to CoolUI 4.2.2 041 from unix_bosnia and it's good, too.

Just curious - stock (and then manually decrapified of Chinese stuff?) or ATX?

Any significant issues?

Thanks.

I've got it the easiest way - CoolUI 4.4.2 041 from unix_bosnia - it's already decrapified & multi-language.

Now, I'm playing with some tweaks as at least on AOSP 4.2.2 v1.0 from jonzalvo SD performance was better, rest is OK (camera & 3D performance is much better than on AOSP 4.4.2 from laek.17).

I just need to get used to its launcher or change it ;-)

And I miss a bit few options from GravityBox that on CoolUI don't work (some of them work, others not).

At the end I may probably go back to AOSP 4.2.2 or Baidu (it was nice, too), but it's not going to be soon.

About Convert TD-SCDMA rom to WCDMA patch, is there anything newer than "Miui_TD-to-W_Xs-4.6.7.zip"  ?

Posted

Presumably you could copy the /etc/firmware contents from any recent stock ROM to get the latest?

Posted

It must be from 4.2.2 or would from 4.4 work as well ?

Sorry - not sure.
