Guys please help, I ported the firmware of the phone (chili la-m1) not working camera
Please give a link to githab, I see that you were able to turn the camera
( Dazzozo) Helped her turn on the smartphone (chili la-m1) smartphone is exactly the same as mine and the only difference is the number of cores (innos i6)

I have an idea:

The video decoding isn't handled by the GPU, al least not all, is handled by the DSP, in our case, a Qualcomm Hexagon v5.

There are various devices with that DSP running custom ROMs(official ROMs in case of the LG L7 II) KitKat without problems with video encoding/decoding(but IDK if that ROMs for those devices are using display-caf). Is possible, maybe, than the libs works.

The first device with our DSP that I searched and founded is the LG L7 1st Gen, and it has a custom ROM KitKat working. Here is the link to the ROM:

Thanks for all working on this. Good luck!!!!!

@chil360

Since you removed all the pmem stuffs, which config is now using the kernel to choose MDP and ADSP size? did you try to increase MDP size to fix the video playback issue?

Edit:

If you use this:

#ifdef CONFIG_ARCH_MSM7X27A
#define MSM_RESERVE_MDP_SIZE 0x2300000

Then we don't need to increase it, as 0x2300000 should be 35 MB, more than enough.

It's a testrom, so first use up2date recovery and second flashing is only for testing purpose, so if you want a rom as daily-driver never use thisone :D

The work done here in SlimKat + display-caf has been the main basis for building a working Lollipop rom. All of my focus at the moment is in working on SlimLP which has all of the same issues with video encoding/decoding. Once all of the problems are fixed in SlimLP, the fixes should also apply to SlimKat so I may eventually backport the fixes and release a fully working SlimKat using display-caf.

Please do! There are plenty of us who'd be happy with a properly functioning KitKat on the Y300 and G510.

I really appreciate the efforts of chil360, you, Dazz, y300-100 and others in your collective work on KitKat / Lollipop for the humble Huaweis.  Shame that the vendors (both Google and hardware manufacturers) and chipset manufacturers treat phones as throwaway devices and don't support them properly.
