Help G510-0100 B196 Root/Recovery and ROM install

Hi,

 

I have a G510-0100 with the stock rom from Vodafone Portugal and unrooted with B196 build number and I now wanted to root it and install a kitkat or lollipop ROM, seeing as i'm a bit of a noob and don't want to brick my phone :wacko: I came in here searching for some help, i've seen some tutorials in here but I don't know if they'll work because it's a 0100 and it's updated to B196, so I wanted to know if I have to unlock the bootloader to do all this and also can someone please help me in rooting it, installing a recovery and a ROM? And can also someone tell me what is the best kitkat or lollipop rom for me to install, it's my daily phone, need it to be stable and completely functional.

I have G510-0100 too and i dont think it will cause any problems if you are on B196,the procedure shall be the same for unlocking bootloader.

All you need to do is to unlock bootloader then install twrp,you don't need to root it since you want to use another rom which will also come with root.
