Guest RufusK21 Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 (edited) Hi, I accidentaly deleted the ROM when doing a wipe using TWRP, so it says "No OS Installed" when I try to reboot. I have tried flashing the UK stock rom from this page but it keeps saying "could not find 'META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary' in the zip file" Anyone know why this is? Thanks EDIT: Dont worry I was being an idiot, I have unzipped the full package, put the rom zip and recovery image zip in the internal storage (is this what you mean by 'root' of phone? If you mean / where system and stuff are I cant do that because I am not rooted. Will try flashing recovery and installing rom and get back to you, Thanks Edited September 22, 2016 by RufusK21

Will try flashing recovery and installing rom and get back to you, Thanks install adb on your pc install the usb driver found below .connect your phone via usb and in twrp go to advanced, adb sideload. place update.zip in the adb folder ,shift + right click in the adb folder and open a command. type adb sideload update.zip into the command window and it will flash the update to your phone. A quick reply would be appreciated I would use the UK MR02 recovery. The recoveries don't seem region specific and should update with a full flash anyway.

There's another set of recovery patch files in /system as usual (vs. ones in recovery directory which is not even extracted during installation BTW) but those don't match the boot.img that comes with the firmware (boot.img is again identical in all four 'builds'). That's also the reason why stock recovery isn't updating even when you update to 5.1.1. All previous stock recoveries have been unique. Also noticed something strange, the latest update.zip on ZTEs site appears to be Lollipop even though we got an update to Marshmallow this year.

Yes, it went without a hitch just install the Turkish stock recovery first and make sure the update.zip is extracted to your external SD card preferably and install it from the stock recovery.

Any help would be great thanks I flashed the Turkish MM ROM over my original New Zealand one. I then flashed the Turkish LP version. Then install TWRP and the TWRP flashable MM ROM.
