I am using Smart and not Globe but I do not want to be stuck with Smart ROM because I prefer QTEK ROM. Thanks

Mine is 1.5 Smart ROM and same with my bro. I don't know if they will inspect pa yung ROM. Anyway, want to share what I have read dun sa counter nila. One of the reasons na mavovoid ang warranty is when someone has tampered the Simlock of the phone. Baka kasama dito change of ROM. Guys, what do you think?

Di ba just by running a SMART ROM will lock the phone to Smart and there should be no traces that you tried to openline the phone or upgraded to a different ROM? It's all software anyways, well, that's what I know, correct me if i am wrong

SIM also. It would be better cguro na irevert back sa Smart ROM yung phone before dalhin sa kanila. Precaution, lam mo na.

Nag-punta ako sa Brightpoint, Ali Mall. I had my keypads changed and pinaayos ko rin ung joystick. Over-all, OK naman ang service except: UMIINIT UNG KEYPAD AREA KO kapag ginagamit. (When backlight led is on) Bakit ganun? Hindi naman ganun dati ung unit ko? Meron na ba naka-experience sa inyo nito?
Guest casperr Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 I got my unit fixed today sa brightpoint and I dont have any complaints. I got a new headset, they replaced my defective one with a brand new one. With my unit, I dont know why they replace the front cover but they did, as well as the keypads, softkeys, the call keys and they fixed the joystick too. Luckily, no fingerprints, bait pati nung receptionists. Of course this wouldnt be possible if not because of spv_man's help who helped me a lot in changing roms and all that. THANKS MAN! My SAP is looking brand new again :) BTW, I thought keypad is the only one covered by warranty, I didnt pay at all for those changes

No figer print, no dust, at wala rin namang laway kaya di wet unit :) OK lang din kahit qtek yung system ko. tinanong lang nila ako kung open line at kelan binili without asking for OR. They did everything for free except for the screen replacement. puro gasgas na kasi screen ko. they charged me P450 for that. I got my fone back in less than 1 hour. Thanks BP. Too bad, I wasn't able to get the nice lady's name.

Guest bluetooth Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 ive just had the soft keys & joystick replaced a weeg ako. pag yun switch borad lang ng joystick libre pag warrantied and 120 naman for the joystick itself. took me 30 miutes.

Guest jasin14 Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 yep.. pero i suggest buti pa mag imbento ka na lang na binili mo blah blah at walang receipt sa brightpoint.. tingnan mo kung kakagat sila hehe.. nde sila strict sa receipt eh.. sayang naman.. tska sa smart lang naman pwede manggaling ang Smart Amazing Phone kaya parang automatic covered dapat yun with warranty unless nakaw.. hehe.. pero kung ordinary tanager like o2, qtek or imate made.. syempre wala.. itry mo.. kung nde .. keypads pa lang at least 500pesos kasi mahal ang service nila..
Guest lelen Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 Hi! Help naman! Nahulog ang SAP ko sa pool. I had it repaired sa SMART. Naka-one month sa kanila. Kakakuha ko lang kanina. Ang note nila - " Corroded board beyond repair". Napa-power on pa siya. Nakaka-call at nakakareceive ng text pero hindi na magamit ang PROGRAM at CONTACTS button (Yung left and right buttons). So hindi na ako makareply sa text. Hindi ko na rin mapuntahan lahat ng programs ko. Hindi na din maka-delete ng messages. ang dami ko pa namang software na naka-install and had been using it to fullest before. Ma-rerepair pa ba ito? Help!

Guest pyke Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 jasin is right.physical damage voids the warranty.when i went to BP before,i overheard the brightpoint rep and the customer arguing about the board.the cust is being charged 17k for it.ewan ko lang kung tama ang dinig ko,ha.wag naman sana.
