Guest aussie Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Does anyone know if MSFT/Everlink is going to update the install to fix the USB cable issue - I would install this in a second however would only be able to enjoy it for a day before my Red-E died from a low battery. Any news would be appreciated.
Guest ayan2 Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 There is a 1058 image, but it isn't official yet. Check out the FTP site every 2-3 days, it should be released soon... I don't know what's inside and if there is a fix for the Red USB cable issue, or the MSN Messenger that's not working any more. Hopefully the new image will address these issues.
Guest aussie Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 Thanks ayan2. I will be checking on a regular basis. If anyone else beats me - please post an update.
Guest mikospopos Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 Updated mine - worked fine - new Inbox is great E X C E P T - Nobody told me there was gonna be NO T9 input. How can this be T9 is so important for writing emails and SMSs I think i'll have to roll back - and I don't reccomend anyone install this ROM. T9 is crucial :x
Guest Brody Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 T9 is present on Windows Mobile 2003 on the E200, are you sure you have held the * key properly?
Guest aussie Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 I had read that T9 was not included in the 1055 ROM in order to keep the update free to all "developers". T9 is a commercial piece of software that if included would have cost whomever is offering the 2003 upgrade additional licensing fees. I am more interested in getting the USB charging issue resolved and am awaiting the 1058 release to see if that fixes the problem.
