JC1 UltraLite posted in Post #1.

Note the following:

- Kies indicates the device is not supported - may be this Chinese JC1 version, not sure.

- Kept MS Money, MSN Weather and Marketplace per requests.

- Lots of storage: ~ 248MB

- Lots of ram: ~96MB

- Again, as usual, your mileage may vary

Will play around with this version to see if I can get Kies working.

Enjoy!

I just tested the EURO version of JC1 with Kies and it works.

Must be the Chinese version does not, or the fact that the model number

listed for the Chinese JC1 is GT-I8000H (notice the 'H').

Or it could something else. Not sure at this point.

I know which files have the GT-I800H imbedded in them.

I am going to see if I can replace them with the EURO version.

Otherwise it may be the 21892 O/S version. Not sure what Kies is checking

for verification.

Then again, it could be anything.

Did you get a prompt about finding a new sim card?

You should have and it should have asked you if you wanted to use it: Yes or No.

After flashing this version, I went out to Marketplace, MSN Weather, etc. No

problems. Did not have to manually set anything.

Yes i got a prompt and i pressed yes. Nevermind.. i go reflash and try again.

Thanks for your prompt reply

Same result.... no idea why... i also tried manuelly setting the internet but my phone refuses to detect the GPRS still.

Actually i flashed the chinese JC1 official rom before... and also same result. The english offical JC1 rom was perfectly fine. No idea why.

hmmm... i have same problem with sonblack's rom also... cause his rom is based on the chinese JC1 rom... really weird... first time encounter this problem.

Usually after sim card is prompt and clicking yes. Under settings/connections/connections/tasks there is will options example setup proxy server or something.

But mine is a blank screen. I tried serveral CSC but still unable trace the settings.

I tried to press NO when my sim card prompt after hard reset. Still same thing..... WTF!

Any singaporeans here?? I really need some help. My phone doesnt seem to want to detect the settings on the chinese JC1 rom.
