Guest jmsmartins Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 yes i think he know that (hope so :)), but how do you get the csc for your provider? for me i use TPH (portugal) CSC, but i guess u just have to use a CSC that used to work for u :D
Guest bribel Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 I've been using this rom for a few weeks now and wile trying to make it work faster etc. I have discovered a few things. Things that I have to tune / enhance performance. 1. I have Chainfire's AutoClosePatch 2. J.S Advanced Configuration Tool 3.3 3. Daskalos Easy Set S3Clock v.1.6.20 What I noticed is this. When using J.S Tools I change the following settings. Now these settings at first do not make sense but they have improved my UI experence greatly. Under Advanced Config. - Perfomances -- File system cache:enabled -- File system cache size: 512kb (yes that is 512) -- File system filter cache: disabled -- PNP unload delay: 3540 (dont think this has made any difference) -- PNP wait I/O delay: 3540 (dont think this has made any difference) -- Glyph cache: 2kb (yes that is 2kb) Then under - HTC TouchFLO -- Scrolling:Enabled -- Cube:disabled -- Sound:disabled -- Pressure threshold :Normal -- Finger Pressure threshold:Normal -- High scrolling speed: 65 -- Low scrolling speed 70 At this point wile chaning the preformance to HIGH the UI is much better in my option. I beleive the sense 2.5 runs beter without any or limited caching. Now to ramp it up a bit just install Daskalos Easy Set S3Clock v.1.6.20 over clock to 900 and run the FP fix. The device runs very well now. Let me know if anyone finds this helpful and if it improves your experence.
Guest Andrey G. Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 Just tried your tip (only File system cache and Glyph cache, other seems less important IMHO) . Seems like it gives some perfomance improvement, faster in scrolling Album and Fullscreen weather. Thanks for sharing!!!

I think the Finger pressure settings, High and Low scrolling speed makes a bit of a difference on the feel of the GUI but it may just be me
Guest andyblack19 Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Hi guys, Flashed this as my 1st ROM last week and I love it, there are a few things I would like to change though, wondered if you can help? (I gave up trying to read all 66 pages of this thread on the 10th page! hopefully those of you who have been following this thread can advise) Sense Contacts List Interface: I cant find the programme to launch this interface, to use instead of the Samsung one. It's the one you see when adding a favourite to the people tab. Then when clicking on the contact, you see all their contact info, previous messages and calls etc. Does anyone know the programme location? Sense Threaded Messaging: When the box is clicked to type a reply, the Samsung keyboard launches ok, but does not overlay the screen, it instead squashes the screen contents upwards to fit above the keyboard. Same with the Sense contacts lookup. Is there any fix for this? -- Is there a registry key to stop the Samsung keyboard auto popping up on the phonebook lookup?? The Alarm Clock: As I have my phone on the Vibrate profile all the time, the Sense alarm clock(presume this just uses the MS one) does not have the option to ring aloud regardless of the profile, whereas the Samsung alarm clock does. Can I link it to the Samsung alarm clock to pull in the alarm time through to the front screen and to open the Samsung alarm when it's clicked? A registry change maybe? Thanks in advance, Andy

Guest Rapid81 Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) I tried the 2016 and these're the results. The localization is missing. The Mnu won'§t work on Home. The Home is misaligned. The contact is froozing. Facebook tab in contacts is missing... I don't know why these problems appears. I think I'll not release 2016 ROM, because I don't have time to fix this bugs. I will try more a few times... Edited July 18, 2010 by Rapid81

Guest Basil Daniel Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 Hello all I have sold my omnia i8000 and have purchased an HTC HD2 & a Iphone 3gs. Both devices are wonderful but I would like to give my personal opinion as to the comparison of all three devices. The omnia 2 is by far the best! its camera is far superior... it is complete, the video call and front facing camera is there.... it has programmable buttons..... its relatively fast... not as fast as the HD2 it has good storage and expandable possibilities.... it can be over-clocked..... it has TV out and plays better DVIX movies... overall it is better... I just thought that this will make a Omnia 2 owner proud of having it! Rapid thanks for all that you have done... Be well & stay well.... Basil Daniel
Guest andyblack19 Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 Hi, Does anybody know how to launch the Sense contact interface? It's the one that you see when adding/clicking someone to the people tab, which shows the contact info, threaded messaging, emails, updates, calls. The Samsung one is fairly limited. Don't really want to resort to Resco. Thanks

Guest bkf1 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 (edited) Hello all, I'm new to Omnia 2 flashing BUT I had already flashed one unofficial. I have questions. I understand that for flashing are these parts: - EBOOT (something like BIOS on PC - should not be ever flashed ONLY when experiencing problems with flashing) - PDA or MuviNAND (ONLY one which is available) (operating system, files, drivers...) - MultiCSC (CSC) (splash screens, wallpapers, settings, language settings...) - PHONE (firmware operating GPS, phone, Wi-Fi... wireless things) I see that only files I need for flashing THIS ROM is PDA and CSC so have I understood it right that I DON'T NEED other parts for flashing? Only PDA and CSC? BTW I have already flashed this ROM: http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-...5-lite-english/ (and I'm not satisfied with it so I would like to try this one).
