Hi all,

I installed cm-11-20140104-NIGHTLY-u8833 on my Y300. Everything is great, except for a major bug. The microSD card is not being mounted, or if it does get mounted, it thinks its the internal phone storage.

Pity. Everything else is beautiful...

ok then no one can do it . not even DAZ ?

Why? For the % Display ? If yes: Do you actually read all the answers in this thread before posting? This can be done in the CM Settings without altering lines in the config. READ!

I'm a noob, so please forgive my ignorance. Is this how you supposed to install this?

1. Unlock phone using Huawei code

2. Install TWRP 2.6.3.3

3. Copy files to phone (/internal_sd/Download/)

  • pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140217-signed.zip
  • pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140217-signed.zip.md5
  • cm-11-20140220-NIGHTLY-u8833.zip
  • cm-11-20140220-NIGHTLY-u8833.zip.md5

4. Boot into TWRP (Volume up + Power for 10 seconds)

5. Select "Wipe" -> "Advanced Wipe" -> "Dalvik Cache" + "cache" + "system" + "data" + "Android Secure" and swipe to wipe

6. Select "Install"
7. navigate to /internal_sd/Download/

8. Select cm-11-20140220-NIGHTLY-u8833.zip

9. Select Add More Zips

10. Select pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140217-signed.zip

11. Swipe to Confirm Flash

12. Select Wipe Dalvik Cache

edit: just tried the steps above, and I can confirm it works. clock force closes, but no big deal. Thanks

edit 2: added wipe steps for future reference

have you heard about wipes ? After step four you should select wipe then advanced wipe and tick, chache, dalvik cache, data, system, custs and then swipe to wipe, and after instaling the rom u should wipe dalvik cache, twrp shows u the option for it right after the instalation Edited by ako0

N00b question @ Alvarete:

After flashing, did you loose cyanogenmod? Better said, is this a complete firmware downgrade or only partial?

Sorry but I've read the instructions twice but I would like to keep CM11.

Cheers.

Sorry for the delay... Yes. You will have to start all over again... Root -> TWRP or CWM -> Cyanogenmod 11 ...

I replaced stock with 10.2 and TWRP last week and moved to 11 this week.

Couldn't get TWRP to flash 11, whatever version I used; but CWM worked fine.

All functions are working including camera, battery is normal.

I'm sad that Trebuchet lost the multi page dock, but I like the Now page anyway, if it comes back while there's no Now widget I'll have a choice to make.

I am getting around 7600-7700 on Y300 with Slim Kat bionic libs dead line IO & some other adjustments...

When you update ROM you will logically must to flash them (bionics) again.

There will probably be a update flash able zip of bionic libs for CM 10.2 (& other 4.3 based ROMs) soon!

Edit, need other test and improvement

Any news?

Hi guys I rooted and unlocked the bootloader on my phone but I am unable to get cwm recovery installed. The installation aborts when I try.

Also will there ever be a final build fo this ROM as in certified everything stable as I see it's updated regularly.
