a little OT - but you guys have convinced me to get a letv x600 :) I know there are 16/32GB models but i've read that there are also 64GB models - I haven't found anyone selling 64GB models online - do they exist?

@destiny133

It won't overcharge, just leave it on charger a little bit more after reaching 100% :)

@h3dshot

You won't find 64GB ROM model - it seems that LeTV doesn't make those

AMOI ROM:To put it simple:

-Best ROM for Coolpad F1-simpler than EmUI3.0 by ATX-

-for a phone almost end of life, that is amazing-

-Display is crisp and vivid, best of

-Sound is unbelievable,best of

-Minor bugs-numbers are not recognized after importing vcf files from EmUI,it uses another spacing scheme and advanced settings remains in Chinese after flashing your patch-

-Battery is amazing, better than any ROM.

So this is the gag-best ROM is a ported ROM from an almost unknown phone.

Can you link this rom please? Tried to install cm12.1 twice last night but it wouldn't work :(

Just bought my LeTV x600 - will be here soon :)

I believe it comes with a clear plastic case in the box as standard? What other accessories have you guys bought?

I'm wondering whether to try tempered glass screen protector or just stick to plastic film.

Yeah it comes with some kind of hard plastic cover. Does the trick ok I guess although I need to buy a new case and maybe an screen protector too.

Nice to see someone else buying it! Hope LeTV x600 community grows up a lot!

Probably a dumb question but ... I'm still on maucat's AOSP but would like to try the Amoi ROM based on what I've read here.

Is this a good strategy:

  1. TWRP backup of my current setup
  2. ZIPme backup of my (non system) apps and data
  3. TWRP install of Amoi (is TWRP OK or does it require CWM?)
  4. Install gapps
  5. Freeze/delete any unnecessary Chinese crap
  6. Restore ZIPme backup of apps/data

Anything else?

I'm particular I'm wondering if steps 2/6 will work OK or is there a better/safer way to backup/restore existing apps/data? Or is that always subject to risk?

Thanks for any advice.

Rom presentation by me...

Install whatever gapps you like from opengapps.org

Thanks Jpower73 - the Google/Chrome translation of your post is still difficult to understand.

Can you clarify here if there are any "gotchas" with installing/using this ROM?

Also do you know which 4.4 gapps variant from opengapps.org is most suitable?

Thanks a lot.

No problems or any hints during installation /using.

Well...  I just read my post

There's an issue with gapps.

Use the full version of it.

Pico/mini /nano micro gives force closes on many apps.

Just flash gapps  full version and freeze whatever you dislike.

At the Last 2 images of the post, you can see all the safe to freeze applications.

Also, freeze 'system server 1.4.2' and 'system 2.0' apks, using titanium.

Both of them are malwares. I got crazy wakelocks...

That’s all.

Sorry for misinforming previously. Flashed too many roms........

Thanks for your feedback Jpower73.

Just on the issue of backing up apps/data from one ROM to restore on another (e.g. maucat AOSP to Amoi or CM12) is ZIPme a workable solution or would you or others recommend some other approach?

I've never been too clear on the best way to do this and the gotchas that arise.

Also - have you used/tested CM12 enough to give any feedback and rank it in comparison to Amoi?

Thanks a lot.

Best backup /restore apks solution: titanium backup.... Thumbs up!

About cm/amoi, let me test it for a while in order to establish a stable comparison basis.

Thanks again for your assistance. Much appreciated.

Am tempted to move to move to (or at least try) Amoi but I might wait for your feedback on CM.

Cheers!

To be honest, haven't tested it.

I'm stuck with Cm12.1 and i'm willing to try a version of Cm11...

I might be late to this party but does anyone know if it's possible to buy from Aliexpress anymore without going through the whole Alipay system of sending them Photo ID and Proof of Address?

Chipped another case from dropping it. Still no effect on the F1 though :)

Or is there another site that's similarly priced for phone cases?

Thanks.

Here you can find a very good CM 12.1 version http://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/development/cm-12-1-mmx-a310-clones-t3253779

Take v2.1 version and use sound patch for low ringtone and alarm volume.  Link for sound patch --> http://d-h.st/PtqI

Batterylife is very good with this rom. All credits for  shubham9543 and fire855

Is it just me unable to flash this version of CM12.1?

My EMUI has suddenly decided to be tempermental and only accept the odd text :S I want to try cm12.1 but it seems that every other build people have discussed has major bugs

Jpower73.

I have Coolpad f1 and using CM 12.1 V2.1 with enhancment patch from xda Shubham9543. On Greek forum I try to follow your work but Google Translate not always translate correct. What cm version do you use and what kind of patches for stable network and good batterylife? The cm12.1 version from Bushan1985 not have deepsleep and battery is not good because of that. Also network for SIM is not stable for me.
