Guest korekore1 Posted December 20, 2014 Report Posted December 20, 2014 Hello, On aosp roms (maucat's for example) my wireless hangs after a while and doesn't works until I reboot phone. Any help would be nice, thanks. search here for a wifi flashable zip that fixes this
Guest korekore1 Posted December 20, 2014 Report Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) I've always associated newer software to generally need newer hardware after each upgrade. For example, Win XP to Vista, OSX and even Linux all tend to incease their minimum hardware requirements. this isn't the case with windows 7 to windows 8 for example.W8 need less resources Edited December 20, 2014 by korekore1
Guest userDJJ Posted December 20, 2014 Report Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) Does ART instead of Dalvik help at all with performance? I think it works on maucat's AOSP 4.4.2 but I haven't had a chance to try it yet... I tested 2 different KK roms and didn't see any difference actually (maucat and laek.17). Guest dalyer Posted December 20, 2014 Report Posted December 20, 2014 I tested 2 different KK roms and didn't see any difference actually (maucat and laek.17). OK - thanks. So is there any benefit to ART over Dalvik/ Anybody know...?
Guest KennyPowers2000 Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 Having real problems trying to copy my music mp3s over to my Coolpad. I have the phone connected via usb to my netbook (running LM13) MTP mode selected, and its fine if I drag and drop photos etc over, but seems to fail when I try many large files like my music. It starts to copy the first album then hangs. I've tried USB mass storage mode, and PTP mode, neither seem any good. Connected the phone to anothe laptop running Vista, and it didn't even appear as an external drive. Am I supposed to use a Music Player to get the music accross or something? Cheers.
Guest dakok Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) It's drivera or USB cable related. I can copy anything to or from the phone with almost any rom I tried. And there were lots of those. :) Edited December 21, 2014 by dakok
Guest 77chedu Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 Try reinstalling mtp support. I don't have any problems with mint, but I'm running 17 version (as my secondary distro)
Guest Milanche78 Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 Copy using WiFi connection.
Guest KennyPowers2000 Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 I guess the fact that I can copy across small files but not lots of large files points to flakey Linux Mint 13 mtp support. My backup plan is to just get hold of a microsd usb adapter and copy it all over that way, less hassle I guess.

Guest gordito Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 i have a kitkat aosp on my Coolpad. I need some help to disable hardware buttons, i like onscreen. Anybody did it with success? Someone? Pleaaaaaaaaase?
Guest xeros2 Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) Just seen Antutu results of MTK6592-based Coolpad F2 - over 33000 points, almost 8000 in 3D & 1350 storage I/O on 4.4.2! Other results like on 4.2.2 of F1. HW specs are almost the same as in F1! Definitely, KK can get at least the same performance as JB on MT6592 HW, just Coolpad doesn't care of optimalization of KK ROMs for F1! Edited December 21, 2014 by xeros2
Guest slime00 Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) the gpu should be the same, I wonder if some drivers could be replaced (or even entire parts of the kernel, since the only hardware difference might be the 16gb storage and the 4g chip) in order to increase the performance... Edited December 21, 2014 by slime00
Guest m@nish123 Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 i only need lcm driver to boot custom kernel....not there anywhere otherwise we will get everything easily
Guest dakok Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) There was a rom ported from coolpad f2 few months ago, coolui 5.7 if I remember correctly. EDIT: This one: 4.4.033.P2.140914.8675w Edited December 21, 2014 by dakok
Guest KennyPowers2000 Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 connect the phone directly to the motherboard's usb port with the original coolpad cable.Don't use a usb hub I managed to get it working fine by updating Linux Mint 13 MATE to Linux Mint 17 XFCE. It seems to support MPT natively now, and just loads it as an external drive. :)

EDIT: This one: 4.4.033.P2.140914.8675w yes, I remember it! the problem is that it's ported, so with f1 kernel & drivers (and performances!) :( F1's KK roms should be 5.7 too, i think they forgot to update the GPU driver on our device!
