I just restored missing apps with Rom toolbox pro, i have supersu installed.

I am using the latest 4.4 AOSP from needrom (the new variant)

The latest one? Bore tried it too and had the "parse error" too. When I restore with ROM Toolbox Pro, it gives me an error at the end [emoji29]

Maybe this will help you.

1) I have TWRP 2.4.4 from Needrom

2) I did the wipes

3) I installed the rom

4) Booted normally

5) reboot recovery -> Wipe cache + Dalvik -> install supersu -> Wipe cache + dalvik -> reboot  (before reboot, TWRP asked me if i wanted to fix root, and i said ok)

6) remove Kinguser

This is for TDSCDMA phone version. You will have to use the WCDMA (3G) patch by Jonzalvo

@HarlemOrange

That gapps from your post are for android 4.2 roms

For 4.4 roms you need to find gapps for 4.4 roms :D

You can use that guide for flashing TDSCDMA or WCDMA rom

If you flash wrong rom (TD or W) it will only make your 3G not working. Nothing else.

I've extracted the apk of the camera app from the S5 rom. I haven't received the phone yet so I can't try. I leave here the link to download the apk and try it if you want:

It won't work. Tried copying to sys/app folder and set permissions, too. No luck.

where's that titanium backup for kitkat? cause the 6.1.5.6 isn't working...some error with parsing the package

The FIX found by me: Grab the titanium backup folder in the root of the SD card, and put it in the internal storage, then change the backups folder in the TB preferences, and voila! restore! :D

i installed that 4.4 rom (atx version) but 3g doesn't work, even though i added the apn. when selecting the type, there is no radio button or checklist to choose from (default, mms, wap, something else) but you have to TYPE it in. and of course, it doesn't work....

downloading the 4.2 version now.

please report when you have eyes on something stable and fully functional regarding kitkat

You mean that 039 CoolLifeUI from ATX?

Any issues or improvements compared to other ROMs (especially compared to Pure AOSP)?
