Yes my apps are backed up from Titanium. If someone confirms that it works if I reinstall all the apps then I think that I ll give a try the 2.2 version.

I have problem with notifications in Laek's 2.1 flashed with cwm 6.0.3.0. And something "exhange stop working" error. Its very stable and fast ROM but I want the notifications..

I just returned to 039 official, maybe I ll upgrade in 041 official today.

 

Another thing is that in Laek's I found the best camera pictures so far. 039 is good (not like Laek's) I hope 041 is better and close to Leak's 2.1.

Has anyone noticed on 4.4.2 ROMs (or just v2.1 by laek.17) a lot slower sdcard performance?

I have 32GB card with 90MB/45MB rates (which had similar rates on AOSP 4.2.2 v1.0 by jonzalvo) and now on laek.17's v2.1 both read and write is 3 times lower (tested with A1 SD Benchmark).

Repeated tests few times, clean boot, almost clean ROM, apps killed, waited a moment to stop other I/O, etc...

I'm wondering if it's something common for 4.4.2?

 

Internal memory is not affected by this performance issue.

Yes if you restored the apps with titanium backup notifications don't work. You must reinstall the apps from market.

I didnt get notifications from Skype, Weather apps and some other apps all restored from Titanium. I though that has to do with unexpected "exchage stop working" random problem every since.

But if I had to remove app+data and reinstall from Playstore then the Titanium wont make any purpose...

 

Something eles I noticed, MTKtweak had 1GB default , is that normal or we should change to 2GB?

Is better a clean install, i recommend to save data in a backup from recovery and reinstall it when you have the new rom installed.

When you lay down the phone Nillkin cover goes 1mm over the top, but on longer sides only.

It doesn't protect shorter top sides.

I'm not talking about the score but general impression - it can be seen on 3d benchmarks, including Antutu (v5 - tried the same version on both AOSP 4.2.2 & 4.4.2 - both installed from apk file to be sure that it's the same version).

When I have disabled power saving, set performance mode = gaming in MTKTweak it's a bit better,  but still much slower than on 4.2.2 - for example on Antutu v5 that part of 3d benchmark now has 13-15 fps (disabled power saving & performance mode = gaming), while on 4.4.2 I had 19-20 fps.

And when talking about Antutu v5 score: 28685 now, 31165 before.

Can you please fix wrong network signal display. On other ROMs a full bar signal is shown, and on yours it displays only 1-2 bars.

laek.17 could you please also check the 2 following issues???

1) Some apps cannot save data at ext sd card (they cannot "see it") if you have chosen phone storage as the default storage option.
2) There are issues with accepting push notifications using wifi networks. There seems to be trouble connecting to the GCM server and when you do connect (which is difficult) connection is easily lost if phone "falls asleep".

I notice that in ASOP leak.17 rom, even choose Sd as a storage...the apps stay in internal memory.....i have 16Gb sd and only use 1Gb.

Tried that 4.4 CoolUI 5.7 from F2 phone. It stucks on Google registration after gapps flashing.

Now I'm on 4.4 CoolUI 5.5 021 ATX v6.

 

Pitty I didn't notice GMS package installation in accessability menu earlier. 

It could allow a simple gapps installation.

 

Anyone attempted that?

Thanks dakok!

So results are not that much different.

Unfortunately, I didn't note results of 4.2.2.

Anyway, now (after ART switch - don't know if ART works or not, but it made a change) it seems that performance impact is not that much noticeable like before, but anyway, having improved CPU/GPU + SD card performance like on 4.2.2 would be great.

 

Edit:

Btw. WIFI LEAP user+pass authentication works properly on 4.4.2! I have just restored WIFI config from 4.2.2, where it didn't work (wpa_supplicant bug on 4.2-4.3) and already got connected.
