what are the chances we had the same problem on the same rom and the charger was to blame? incidently, after switching to another rom, the charger goes to 100% again

Drivers?

CWM / TWRP?

 

 

Now on my coolpad 8297 wcdma I have 036 factory version. I tried to install 039 by ota but it failed. So to install the last kitkat version what should I do?Thanks

Actually, I've tried with two different chargers...hmm, now I can't remember did I used the same usb cable... :wacko:

I'll try with another cable... or as Pletko have said maybe it's ROM - I would rather go and buy a new cable than change the rom again - I'm  tired of flashing ROMs :D

As it is not stock rom doesnt support OTG 
First of all you guys must be rooted
Use " Usb otg helper app " from the play store
Connect usb drive to phone Open "" usb otg helper app ""
After giving root permission , click on mount
Now with the help of any file
explorer ( i used xplore
though) , go to /storage/
usbotgdrive/drive/here)

You will see your mounted drive 
enjoy

Doesn't work with jonzalvo's PURE AOSP v2, I'll try it with the Micromax rom soon. I'd be surprised if it worked though.

i have charging problems too,i think the phone doesn't like to be charged from usb hubs or usb1 ports

@jpblade are you with stock rom?

have you changed recovery to cwm or twrp ?

if you have change the recovery that is your problem with OTA upgrade, if you want to test you can flash TWRP 2.7 and try to update

i think with that version you can get regular OTA upgrade

and the latest official rom is 041 and you can flash it with coolpad assisten manager,YGDP(which is very very siple), SPflashtool

Will definitely try when I get home, but isn't part of the problem that F1 doesn't provide power to the USB device? I tried with USB sticks (with led) and connecting it to another phone and it never provided power from the micro USB port...

Maybe with a Y cable and a small power bank to power the USB stick/drive... :)

Found a new rom in Needrom called "Nexus", seems to be an AOSP based on the Taiwanese or the Indian ROM (it indicates taiwanese, but he indicates 4.4.2 as the version of the rom), seems very small (287mb), if you want to give a try, you find it here http://www.needrom.com/download/nexus-5-2/

Anyone noticed the charging led color on EmUI rom?

It seems to be white with a very slight greenish tint. 

I will have to take photos to be sure if it differs from the usual green led...

Have noticed similar on redmi note the charging light starts off with slight greenish tint and ends up bright green when charged, could be the same on the EmUI rom
