I bought a Moto E some days ago. I can say is far better than the Y300 in every way (excepting camera, but who cares? xD). Thanks to all the community for his support to this device. Greetings.

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.X.X (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below there is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

What are Nightly builds? Auto compiled builds of the latest CyanogenMod source from github. This version change each night and aren't officialy supported. If you find bugs/issues you can/must discuss here (do not submit nightlies bug on CyanogenMod issue tracker).

What's working :

  • RIL (Calls, SMS, Data)
  • Wifi
  • Bluetooth
  • Camera ( Photos )
  • Audio ( Record and Playback )
  • Sensors
  • Flash
  • Led
  • Video playback (software)

What's not working :

  • Video playback (hardware)
  • FM Radio
  • Sometimes you can get a black screen while resuming from sleep, the cause is still unknown
  • Sometimes, trying to upload a file can cause a random reboot
  • Random camera errors, reboot your phone and it will work again.

Instructions :

  • Download the latest build and gapps
  • Reboot to recovery (TWRP 2.6.3.3 required)
  • Flash the latest build and gapps
  • Reboot

How to report a bug?

- Send me a logcat and/or a dmesg

- Phone model (Y300 or G510)

any bug report without the minimum requirements won't be accepted.

But if they were willing to do smth like that, they should have made a move till now.

Anyway, thank you so much for your work for this old device.

I wish you luck onwards.
