Guest anotherjib Posted January 22, 2016 Report Posted January 22, 2016 Trying it out on my y300, goes surprisingly well. Problems: aosp keyboard keeps crashing, successfully installed anysoftkeyboard (with five different keysets) dialing from dialpad crashes the phone app, only can call remembered numbers systemui keeps notifying about corrupted second partition of my sd card, although it is being successfully used by apps2sd Otherwise - very nice, thanks a lot chil360!
Guest TheMasterSoda Posted January 22, 2016 Report Posted January 22, 2016 Great ROM, thanks a lot chill! Everything seems to run pretty smooth on my G510-0100, except a few issues that prevent me from using it on a daily basis: Sometimes, screen fails to turn on after pressing power button - touches still get registered and i can for example answer a call, i just cant see anything, because the screen is black. Only fix i found for this so far is to remove battery. Dialing number or clicking on contact names in Contacts app crashes contacts. Only way to call is by speed dial, or by getting called. If you could look into these issues, it could really become everyday rom for this device, as its speed is superior when compared to Lollipop and really not that different from KitKat roms.

Guest alfanelli76 Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 Hello to all. For installations of rom on my G330, I use the recovery TWRP 2.8.5.0. I can install the following Roma: cm-13.0-20160117-UNOFFICIAL-u8825.zip. I can not install the gapps: open_gapps-arm-6.0-pico-20160123.zip The error message that appears after installation is shown in the following image:

Guest Mr Voland Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 @alfanelli76 Maybe file is corupted, download again and try
Guest alfanelli76 Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 I checked the images files, and are good. Now I try to install both the rom and the gapps, from the internal memory. I'll let you know.
Guest alfanelli76 Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 Installing the rom and gapps from the internal memory, the error persists. The checksum of the rom and gapps, are correct.

Because the log shows you do not have enough space for gapps. Are you trying clean install? I mean, are you wiping the data partition? Edited January 23, 2016 by anotherjib
Guest alfanelli76 Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 Whenever I install a rom and gapps, use the TWRP Recovery 2.8.5.0, I select: Dalvik Cache, Cache, Cust, System, Date, Android Secure. Later I install the rom + gapps.
Guest chil360 Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 You can easily customize the rom zip to remove some stuff to give you more space to install GApps. Just extract the rom zip, delete the unwanted files and rezip. When you install the modified zip, make sure to disable signature verification or it won't install. I would suggest removing CMWallpapers and the live wallpapers by deleting the following folders. This should free about 13mb. system/app/CMWallpapers system/app/Galaxy4 system/app/HoloSpiralWallpaper system/app/LiveWallpapers system/app/LiveWallpapersPicker system/app/NoiseField system/app/PhaseBeam system/app/PhotoTable

What was the error message? Did you wipe before installing? Alternatively, you can install the unmodified rom zip and use OpenGapps to uninstall the parts of CM that you don't want. See this page about using a gapps-config.txt file to specify applications to remove during install.
Guest Alfamale Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) Hello all, I am quite new in this forum. Firstly, I like to thank the developers for the Rom. Secondly, I have installed the Rom without any hassle. And it is working like charm. However, a few root checker apps mention I am not rooted. In developer options I have enabled root for apps and ADB. Does somebody know what to do ? Edited January 24, 2016 by Alfamale
Guest Nemesix2 Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 @Alfamale That also happened to me in some LP roms I've tested. Some apps just denied root access without even prompting you to a root confirmation window. Is that what happens to you? If that's the case, then there's no solution for now (as far as I know)

Live wallpapers are not that useful, and removing them could make the next build take <300 MB

It's better to keep it stock CM and use file-based rom zips so people can customize it themselves if they wish to.
