Guest pletko Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 @bore1989 no, just flash it over. remember to flash gapps again after that since they crash after flashing this rom. just flash gapps again and everything works fine
Guest dakok Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 If you use original unmodified LeWa from their website, you probably don't need wipes. If you use some custom lewa release, you might need wipes and formats...

LeWa_Coolpad-8297w_14.7.18_byLz is what i use...i flashed that update and google apps again and now gallery won't work with camera...when i take i picture and want to see it ,gallery crashes
Guest dakok Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 You can do a better thing. Install QuickPic from Play Store. It could be better than original gallery.

I'll ask to Jonzalvo to remove chinese from the next AOSP update, so they can feel like we do :D :P Edited August 6, 2014 by slime00
Guest pletko Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Still no Kitkat? Inew v3 got their. Is it possible that I missed by selling the inew and leaving the coolpad? :-(
Guest slime00 Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 maybe :D kitkat was seen in images and was officially announced for the taiwanese market (the AOSP version). Now, when they will finally release it is uncertain, some rumors talked about the first half of August, let's see since in september the new CoolUI with kitkat should be out as well (when they launch the F2), hoping they are usable and without major bugs!

Guest trashbat Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 hey guys, are there any major flaws with this phone? Also, where would you recommend to buy it from?
Guest dakok Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) Here or here for $162 / €122 / 96GBP Regarding the other question - do your homework and read through this and another Coolpad F1 topic. I bet you won't find any flaws :D Edited August 7, 2014 by dakok
Guest trashbat Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 Here or here for $162 / €122 / 96GBP Regarding the other question - do your homework and read through this and another Coolpad F1 topic. I bet you won't find any flaws :D Many thanks Dakok :D you are a great help My main concerns were: - Good audio - have read in the thread (i believe it was you that posted) that audio is good (through headphones) - Camera - again your post answered this And finally - stability... still unsure on this one, coming from a nexus 4 i have gotten used to stability and not switching roms to find one that works. I was going to get a oneplus but price put me off and I can't wait around as my trusty nexus' screen smashed :(
Guest dakok Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) Nice :) Regarding stability - it is perfectly stabile. I am switching roms mainly for fun and for the fact that many of them have a bug or two. At first it looks perfect and then you find that proximity doesn't work on one rom, whatsapp on another and such. That is not up to phone though. It works just fine with original CoolLifeUI. There is an AOSP rom that works nice and several others that are fine, too. If you are tight with money you can consider Coolpad 7320 with 1GB RAM and for 30 USD less. It seems to be a nice phone, too. Edited August 7, 2014 by dakok
