I really can not say anything about it... I have installed it for only 20 minutes.

 

Only these few things:

-it uses ART

-Compilation AndroidL.R.5.2.2 (really??)

-kernel 3.4.67

-Android version: 5.0

-I think it has some little lag sometimes.

-author?? It does not say nothing about it

-it is for 8297 model

-multilanguage

-when connected to PC, it appears "S650" not "Coolpad 8297"

Yes, you are ok, it seems!!

Then, it's a mod port from Lenovo S650.

I will try to use Antutu to see if it's really Lollipop or if it's only a mod.

@dakok , i love play 3D game can you recommended me for the best custom rom for playing 3D game on this device? like AOSP_GAMER_EDITION.zip or something else? i have try xTremeVanilla_CMEdition_A310_thedevilashish but 3D score just got 6600 and i have try COOLPAD F1 8297W MIUI 6 4.9.26W-PATCH from kaskus, 3D score just got 7600 any suggestion? :)

I tested it and the source is reliable.

Rename the file to recovery.img and install it through MobileUncle Tool, as usual...

 

If you don't want to mess with MobileUncle here's another option:

Install Flash Recovery apk (root required) and choose second line in Chinese with v6.0.5.0 20140816

 

First line is for Chinese custom recovery

Second line is for English custom recovery

 

Apologies if this has been covered already but I can't see that it has...

1. I know it's just eye candy :) but how do you get the colourful "rainbow mode" above in this CWM? I can't see any option in the recovery itself.
2. Every time I use this CWM it asks me if I want to fix root - is that normal and should I always say "yes"?
3. Is this the best/latest CWM that works in English?
4. Or is there a reason to use TWRP (which version) instead?

So you reckon TWRP 2.6 is better than CWM 6.0.5.0?

I just thought that some flashing ROMs were having problems that did not occur when using CWM?

I saw some chinese devs recommending twrp for flashing new 4.4 roms and

twrp is great if you flash many roms, you dont have to go through many menus and push 

buttons a lot. Pre-flashing format and wipe are done in 10 seconds :D
